We just read a very significant post on Facebook from one of our friends and wanted to share it here on our blog because it is something we hear ourselves all the time as well.
We’re talking about the word “lucky” that gets thrown about by people moaning about not achieving success because …… they’re not lucky!
Read on and discover why being “lucky” is actually not going to help. Being you and attracting people like you is what it is about
It’s Not About Being Lucky
People come to us and say ..”Chris and Susan, if only I had someone like you on my team or someone who is successful on my team … I would do SO WELL’ ….or maybe if I get a Tony Robbins, I can do very well…..If I get lucky like them or maybe a Zig Ziglar…that would change my life….or maybe I can have the success this person is having because he has this awesome person direct to him.’
NEWSFLASH: First of all… there is and there isn’t a such thing as being lucky. What do I mean? Well, the bottom line is that people don’t get lucky…they put themselves in a position to get lucky. Still a little unclear?
You attract WHO YOU ARE….not WHO YOU WANT! Many of us are hoping and dreaming to have that ONE perfect person or leader to explode our business. It doesn’t happen …the best leaders on your team are a direct reflection to how much of a person that you’ve grown to. That’s a HUGE part of the reason why David Sharpe is able to attract all the great people we have on the leadership team. He wasn’t lucky…but instead he put himself in a position (growing as a person, connecting with the right people, etc…) to get that ‘Luck’ which is really the work he did and busted his ass to EARN his success.
Two lessons to be learned here (maybe more)….
- Stop waiting to ‘GET LUCKY’….work on yourself, connect with the right people, and position yourself to get ‘lucky’
- Leaders don’t join ANYONE…and again, you must work on yourself (self development…read daily, listen to audio daily)…then and ONLY then will leaders even think about joining you. boom!
By the way…I’ll add this as a bonus nugget for you all With all the success that I had so far online or anyone for that matter…if we HANDED it over to you and gave you all the leads, all the customers, the exact system and funnel how we constructed it, etc… it PROBABLY will not continue to be successful…(you say why?) because everything that was built up until that point by me is BECAUSE OF ME…my personality, my thinking, my decisions, etc …and you may not be on my mentality level, or people skills level, etc. (same goes for any other person who has success). Make sense? In simple terms… SUCCESS cannot be Handed over to you…you must acquire success on your own…because it is UNIQUE for each person…how they got there, how they keep growing, the failures and struggles they had to go through to get to that point and the list goes on and on and on…
It’s not about being lucky – it’s about creating your own success by following the system that we all follow and developing as a person, becoming a leader yourself and attracting those special people to your business because of YOU. Not a “lucky” YOU.
