Chris Brindamour

At eleven months old a boy hummed a tune back to his mother from a grocery cart, and years later he sang the national anthem at a Thanksgiving game. Chris Brindamour tells that story with real delight, and it is the most enjoyable thing on the blog.

He writes as well about the oldest continuous Fourth of July celebration in the country, which happens where he lives, down to the parade route and the drum corps competition. The pleasure in it is genuine and entirely local.

One post answers the question people keep asking him about what he actually does, and it reaches for a very large promise about where he expects to be within a year. That one is a pitch and reads as one.

The national parks post collects things most visitors never find out, and there is a list of habits he attributes to people who get things done.

Come for the parade and for the singer. Somebody enjoying his own life wrote those rather than somebody selling one.
