As I sit here at my laptop with the children, they are on holidays and because I am mentored I can and do have the luxury of working from home. Sometimes they ask me to sit with them so as to share the moment of ‘family time’ and in those instances I may still work right in front of the television!

My teenage daughter plays with a personage called BB Peach (and generally on the motobike!) and I truly love watching her have fun with the stearing wheel in her little hands and driving like a girl without a care in the world, driving into bridges, off roads falling off the cliff, not only does she laugh but the BB Peach of the WII does also! This is why I love to work from home, I get the privilege to work in this environment rather than the stressed out cubicle.
Mario Rogue is being played as I write!!
Hearing your kids playing games that has door banging and shouting, elephant foot steps, laughter, obviously makes you more productive. Even if you wonder if the flooring is going to hold out, and of course at which point it will all end in tears…especially as it is past midnight and some children are sleeping (?) but these are old friends that have moved far and they only get to see each other every other year…
I can not imagine my life any other way, I can not even begin to think, perhaps as Mario Rogue would agree with me here, that being of a kind that just wanders here and there not knowing what to do and how to go about it really would be right for Mario Rogue to sit there and worry about how the kid is going to get home from school, or if he needs help with the homework. And will I be in time to make a decent dinner tonight? These are not thoughts for me, I would rather spend my time wisely, this is why I have a mentor.

This must be rogues nightmare city, as they like to jump from one thing to the next. They never wait to see what happeneds in the very end as they do not have a vision of the outcome. Which brings me to my mentor and a conversation I had with him a while back. If I had not been ready or if I had not done the ground work this conversation would not have had the same impact. Now Mario Rogue, don’t get me wrong this ground work you do at your own speed and as it is mindset games it will not be so easy as setting up a campagne, believe me! Because the conversation was at the time for me to have it’s effect it had a profound impact on my business. Is that not the work of a true mentor? Knowing when to give the information, at the right time in the apprentices learning curve?
