Thanks, in Everything…

Today, I’d like to just take a moment to marinate in the gratitude I feel for all that I am able to enjoy in this life.
Thanksgiving may just be another Holiday, a fond family occassion, a painful memory for others, or even a commercial exploit by some opinions, but for me it’s always been much more than that…
I’m one who lives in a constant state of gratitude for all that I experience in life. There were times when I was very much at odds with life; it felt like I was constantly swimming upstream, in struggle with circumstance. However, nearly 8 years ago (next week marks the anniversary, to be more specific), I experienced a monumental life-altering occassion…in fact, the occassion nearly claimed my life. Since that time, it’s fair to say that my perspective on all matters have been considerably transfigured.
I have been dramatically transfigured…
Living in thanksgiving is an art. I would challenge many to consider that even some of life’s greatest obstacles have a gift to present us, should we consider them thoroughly.
For me, living through a major health challenge presented an opportunity to begin anew, with a renewed mind on life, with a newfound passion for every little morsel that is here for me to enjoy…and especially for those who are in my life, in my heart, my support network of loved ones.
I hope you will all seek in your hearts today for just a moment to give credence to all the little things that we tend to forget about which are constantly there in support of us as we move ourselves through life’s journeys.
“But Thanksgiving is more than eating, Chuck. You heard what Linus was saying out there. Those early Pilgrims were thankful for what had happened to them, and we should be thankful, too. We should just be thankful for being together. I think that’s what they mean by ‘Thanksgiving,’ Charlie Brown.” Marcie
I’m thankful for all of you who have touched my life, for those of you who I haven’t even met but who do come and engage with me here at my abode on the web. I wish you all a beautiful day filled with peace, harmony, love, fulfillment, and an optimistic view of what life has given in support of you. May your day be bright!
