LIVE 2012 NFL Draft fever is here tonight for many football fans!!!!
Thursday, April 26, 2012, is a date that will live for ever in the hearts of many young college football players in America as they wait to see just which team will pick them in the draft!

These young athletes have worked for years to get to this live NFL draft tonight. This event will shape their lives forever. Some of them will go on to be stars — others will not make the final cut in the Fall.
Regardless their lot, it is indeed an exciting weekend for all the football community and fans. Much beer will be consumed — adult beverages poured — popcorn, pretzels, dip, chips, hotdogs, hamburgers — all that good bar food that goes with football!!!
Many wives will have a forlorn sigh, realizing it is the football season again. Then there are those of us who just love it!!!
I am one of those! Mind you, I don’t know even half the players. But I do recognize many names, even some of those up for the draft. This is such an all-American sport. There is nothing like it in the whole world! Undoubtedly, many of our troops abroad will be watching the draft this weekend. I know they watch the games for sure when possible.
Then there is little league football. My grandson is playing tackle football and has been for now 4 years. If I do say so myself, he is quite the athlete! It doesn’t seen to matter what he is playing — baseball, basketball, or football — he is simply terrific, doggone it!!! Yep, I’m a proud grandmother. All our grandchildren are “the best”, but he is the only one who plays football, thank goodness!
We are Seahawks fans, and in the last few years its been a struggle for them. Our grandson’s games have been much more fun to watch than the Seahawks, I must say. Unlike when our son played (he was a great player, too), the kids have home and away uniforms, umps with regular uniforms (for heavens sakes) and the games are announced on a loud speaker! I don’t remember it was that way when our son played.
But all in all, we love football of any kind! And this weekend is a milestone — or will be — for many young college players who get drafted!
The Live 2012 NFL draft is an exciting time — just think, by Sunday we’ll know who got whom! Enjoy!!!
