Today I want to talk to you about Condence and PERSEVERANCE​!

 Hi All, It’s Jimmy Bloom again.  WITH MORE INSPIRATION.  For those of you who read yesterdays blog post.  I always say blog post, because apparently I’m a little old and it’s not writing a blog, I’m writing a blog post.  My Dartmouth associate who’s  29 made that clear, he called me an idiot.  I proved him wrong!

Honestly though.  Tough morning here for Bloomer (thats what my friends call me).  My blood sugar was 360 when I woke up and everything hurt. BUT, I took medicine, had some coffee and I coming back to life. That is why I am writing today about Confidence and PERSEVERANCE!  

Honestly when Cindy showed me the response to yesterdays post it was a real inspiration and it put a smile on my face.  That’s all it takes sometimes.  Originally I thought I’d write at the end of the day, but it Saturday and I still have a lot to share so why not.  This is like meditation to me.

In life there are leaders and there are followers.  Being a leader or a frontier is not always easy and often comes with lots of bruises, but can be the most rewarding way to live your life.  YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF YOUR DESTINY.  I like to think of myself as a leader.  But leadership takes attributes and diplomacy.  And several other important skills.

Whenever I hire someone for any of my business’s I always tell them to see 3 Movies.  “YES MAN, 21, and THE SOCIAL NETWORK.  Why?  Because each one of these movies teaches the skills and more importantly the mindset that will help all of us lead to success.  Go see them.  They are great movies.  I’ll tell you right now what I value in each movie besides its great entertainment.

Yes Man will teach you to have an open mind

21 will teach you about variable change.  The idea that what you know everyone else doesn’t and that ladies and gentlemen changes the odds (of success) dramatically.

And the Social Network.  The platform so many of us use for everyday living and business.  But its not just Mark Zuckerberg’s great success story that hit the world by storm.  What was really powerfull is when Sean Parker tells Mark Zuckerberg to stop thinking in Millions and Start thinking of Billions.  And although many of you may not like or know Sean Parker.  He founded Napster.  Before there was itunes.  And when Sean started Napster and then Facebook (for a short stint) he didn’t do it for the money.  He did it for the phenomena.  Then came the money.  The money will follow the leaders.  Its natural human instinct.  I know personally.

So why did I name today’s blog post CONFIDINCE AND PERSEVERANCE?

I named it this because these are 2 strong qualities that we all have in us and if we use them reaching success and happiness is  much easier.

Ok I’m want you all to enjoy this great  fall morning, but I want to leave you with this messge. Nothing I’m saying is novel,  I didn’t make it up,  Nor did the people who taught me these values.

So get out there like me.  Be confident in your decisions and keep moving forward.  That’s one of my main lines when people are down or have failed at a task.  You can only look back to learn,  but let it go and keep moving forward.
