There have been many reviews on Empower Network but I still want to give my testimony!  I just returned from Austin Texas where I attended my first ever Empower Network Event.  It was absolutely amazing which is why I am writing this testimonial.

This event was life changing.  Imagine the energy in a room of over 4,000 people as they run to take their seats.  The music, the cameras, the smiles, the friendships, the entire scene in magical.  No reviews on empower network can begin to describe the feeling in the room!  I can’t wait until Chicago to feel it all over again!

Reviews on Empower Network vary from person to person so let me share my personal story.

I live in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago.  I am the youngest child in my family.  I grew up in Wilmette, in a great house.  My father business was very successful.  He was in the furniture business, and had his own furniture store.  We had a nice house, with a pool, and my parents even had a small condo in Florida, so we traveled to Florida a few times a year.  My dad worked  hard, 6 days a week, and long hours, but that was my dad, a man who did what it took to make money for his family.  He did very well. My dad showed me at a young age the importance of good work ethics.   Reviews on Empower Network

I am the youngest of three children by 5 and 7 years.  I was truly the baby of the family.  This is what happened though:  My dad’s business started to slow as more and more, large companies were killing the small business owner.  Things began to change and we my parents were always talking about not spending money.   My parents were obviously worried about money and for the first time in my life, I was told we had to change the way we lived.   I was fine with it, I got a job and did my part.  Things at home changed a bit but my father still continued to work and try to make things happen again.  He never stopped working! My brother and sister both went to college out of state.  They got to choose where they wanted to go. My father was able to help them with the cost.   By the time I was going to college things were already financially draining for my father.  He told me I had no choice, I needed me to go to an instate school because that is all we could afford. reviews on empower network

I was accepted to the Univesity of Illinois and I was happy to go because my boyfriend at the time, went to school there.  I was thrilled.  I attended the University of Illinois and I was able to get a scholarship from my high school for my participation in sports for four years. I graduated college with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  After college things were even worse for my father and his business but he still worked hard and tried everything he could to make ends meet.   It was hard to watch as my fathers self esteem began to plummet.

I myself got a job teaching and I loved it, and I was a good teacher.  I knew it because I felt passionate, and I enjoyed EMPOWERING my students.  Parents would write me letters how I impacted their child’s life.  It was a great feeling, I loved teaching!  Reviews on Empower Network

In December of 1989, the same guy who I was dating back in high school, proposed to me and we planned our wedding in 6 short months.  Chicago weddings are expensive, and since I was the first of his kids to get married, he was determined to pay for the wedding. We planned an afternoon wedding, to help keep costs down.  Two months before the wedding my father’s furniture store burnt down.  His entire business was gone! No kidding, some electrical malfunction, and boom, it was gone, just like that.  My father could have rebuilt but he knew in his heart he was fighting a losing battle, so he closed up shop and started working for someone else.  He still managed to throw an incredible wedding for me. I was married in July of 1990 to my high school sweet heart and we are still married today, almost 23 years later. Two years after we were married my father in law passed away in a crazy accident.  He was on vacation in Denver Colorado and he fell off his bike.  Not sure exactly why he fell but the fall resulted in spinal and neck damage, and was not able to recover.  He passed away in August of 1992. Reviews on Empower Network

As a result of this experience we realized that life was short, we did not want to wait to start our family. In October of 2003, we had our first child and named him after my father in law.  I stopped teaching so I could stay home with my son.   We began  collecting debt and we got deeper in trouble as time went on. reviews on empower network

We moved from Chicago to the suburbs in 2005  and in 2006 my second sond was born.  My husband was working as a rep distributing video and music, and we were helping his mother as my husband took over his father’s business.  Things were tough so I started working at a computer learning center for about 8 months until they went out of business. Reviews on Empower Network

I started selling on eBay and was doing great.  You can read my posts about selling on eBay In the end I quit with that.  Meanwhile bill collectors were calling and our house was in foreclosure…it was really bad.  My mother in law got sick and fought a losing battle with cancer.  She passed away 10 years after her husband.  My husband was just devastated.  He was very close with both of his parent and they were both gone now.  We did inherit some money so things got a little better financially. Reviews on Empower Network

My husband had began buying selling closeouts.  He ended up selling close outs, bring pallets of merchandise to and from a storage locker.  It was a lot of physical work and it was not what he was meant to be doing.  He would hook up a trailer and drive to pick up stuff at auctions.  He was working non stop and he got sick. Very sick.  He is a Juvenile Diabetic and at 39 suffered a heart attack. reviews on empower network

The interesting thing is that this happened 13 years from the day his father had his bike accident.  I believe it was a sign that he was on the wrong course.  Who knows, but I believe things happen for a reason, and in this instance it was a message from his father. reviews on empower network

Anyway, my husband is such a hard worker that he just kept calling me telling me he had aches all day but wanted to get home.  He had been on road.  He came home,  looked at me and I made hime go to the ER.  He was suffering from a heart attack and was lucky to get to the doctor.  Sure enough he had an immediate angioplasty. This was quite a shock and my husband had  quite a recovery to go through.  Needless to say he could not work. reviews on empower network

In the next 6 months he had another 4 surgeries and stints put in because of all the blockage.  He suffered retinopathy in his eyes and with the the new medications he was on felt awful all the time.  He did not work and quickly we were in that position once again, we had no money. My husband fought hard to recover, going through therapy, and switching to an insulin pump.  I swear he was doing everything his father would have wanted, he was taking care of himself and thinking about how he was going to continue to make money.  Reviews on Empower Network

My husband is the most amazing man.  I could not be more proud to be married to him.  He has always had the dream, the vision and the passion to make the kind of money he felt he was worthy of.  I on the other hand have always just been happy not caring much about material things.  Well when you have nothing, things change and I began to understand his drive. As he began to get better he knew he need to find a job.   I don’t think I mentioned that he graduated from the Business School with a CPA.  He did not enjoying being an accountant so he went to trade at the board of trade in chicago.  Things were not going great and he was thinking about changing careers when his father passed away.  He took over his father music and video business but was never truly happy.  As the middle man slowly got squeezed from the big deals my husband began  selling close outs and at first we sold a ton on eBay.  Afte a while he started to actually buy merchandise and store it in  locker.  He would attach a trailer to our truck and travel to auctions and make cash.  It was a lot of physical work and it was not what he was meant to be doing.  Again, I believe it was a sign from his father.   He went back to trading at the Chicago Board of Trade.  It was a dream of his since he was young and he decided it was finally time to live his dream.

It was a tough year as was making what he called “peanuts” so he could learn the business. He is a smart man, a CPA , a straight A college boy,  and so he used this training period to learn everything he could. I took a job with a friend in retail and was making some good money but I never liked it so I eventually quit. I then took an office job for just about a year, i was miserable and bored. I am so glad I did because I got to spend quality time with my dad for the last 6 months of his life. I was with him every day and I will always treasure that time. Reviews on Empower Network

Jimmy was finally trading he started making money.  Everything he had learned while training was working and things were looking up.  He started making more and more money and he finally got us out of debt.  For 6 years he worked his ass off never giving up on his dream.  He did it and I seriously do not know many people who could have accomplished what he did.  It was amazing.  I have never been more proud of anyone.  My husband is really amazing.  I need to tell that more.   With our debt paid off we enjoyed a year of vacations and gifts.  Things were great! We traveled to Mexico and Hawaii.  Then all the sudden last spring things changed. Reviews on empower network

My husband became ill.  This time with diabetic retinopathy which creates unbearable pain.  He at times could barely walk, let alone work.  So again after a few months of not working, and not having income, we began to start struggling again. reviews on empower network

It finally hit me, that I have dreams too.  I needed to find work so I could be independent and be able to provide for us when my husband could not.  I turned to the internet in June of 2012.  I found Empower Network and joined in September.  Since joining Empower Network I have generated a small residual income.  The key word here is RESIDUAL!  This income will continue to grow each month and within the next 90 days I will be making over 10 thousand dollars a month! Reviews on Empower Network
