How To Know If You Are Cut Out For Sales – 5 Signs You’re Ready

If you are like many people right now who are looking to start your own business, make your own sales or just find a way to take control of the way you earn your income, this post will really clear up whether that will be a great route for you or not. 

If nothing else, this will really be a very real glimpse into what will be required to really make it happen and to create a full time income or even an above average income. 

I have to warn you, this will only be the truth. No fluff, no games and no selling you on what you don’t need. 

If you can consistently follow these 5 things, or at least start to work on living with, you can absolutely have anything that you want!

Ok! Here we go…

1. Stay Hungry To Stay Profitable

If you don’t have something inside of you driving you, pushing you and inspiring you to keep learning, innovating and creating, you just simply won’t be consistent. 

And when you’re not consistent, you will not make consistent income. 

Figure out what you are really making this change for. 

Is it to create a better life for yourself and your family? 

Is it to replace the income from your current job?

Is it to retire a spouse?

Have you finally taken a step or are looking into writing that book or starting that business that you have always wanted to start but it just never seemed to be the right time?

If you are looking to start your career in online sales, for example, it’s obvious you want to make more money. 

But really ask yourself what more money will give you… 

And if your goal or outcome is more income, get clear on how much daily, monthly and yearly. 

The clearer the better!

Find out why you’re really doing what you are doing and make it a vivid and clear as you can. 

You’ll know you’ve done this when you feel something inside of you pulling you to act when you would typically be sleeping, reading that news paper that isn’t really helping you or watching the news that isn’t going to get you closer to where you truly want to be. 

You’ll find yourself getting up earlier, staying up later and feeling yourself pulled and inspired to do all that you can with what you have with any time that you can find. 

 2. Surround Yourself With The “Gold Medal Winners”

This one is so simple yet not a lot of people truly do this. 

Find someone or a group of people who have what you want or accomplished what you would like to accomplish and get around them. 

As much as you can for as consistently as you can. 

Chances are if you are starting a new path in life now, your current friends or even family do not know how to do what you would like to do. 

If they do, that’s great! 

But if they don’t, be very careful about taking advice from people who are simply not qualified to give you such advice. 

For example, don’t ask your grocery store clerk for advice on how to build a business if hey have never done it themselves. 

Find someone who has done what you would like to do and model them! 

  3. Do Not Brag

Sometimes even just deciding to being in a new venture can feel quite liberating. 

But don’t start talking big about what you are going to do and brag in advance before you have started in anything yet. 

Until you have a clear vision that you have created for yourself and a plan, don’t make big claims about what you are going to do. 

This can really get you into trouble when you realize that what you wanted to do takes work, is hard or even takes time learning. 

You don’t want to start feeling overwhelmed and give yourself reason to doubt yourself before you’ve really had a chance yet. 

 4. Be Willing To Fail

Failing is part of success. 

It does not mean that you are not good enough, that you are not as smart as someone else or that you need to settle for a mediocre life at all. 

Look at anyone who ever accomplished anything. 

I guarantee you that anyone you chose has failed many times before getting it right. 

Look at Mark Cuban. 

He has said in many interviews that he’s had more ventures that haven’t worked than ones that have! 

I think that he really had the law of probability on his side. 

He didn’t just suddenly wake up one day with incredible intelligence as a business man and a billionaire! 

He immersed himself in the world that he interested in and was passionate about and learned how the game was played, and played it with all that he had every time. 

I would encourage you to do the same! 

And when you feel frustrated beyond how you have ever felt frustrated before, you are doing it right! 🙂
