Motivational Excuses

motivational excusesWhat in the world is a motivational excuse? How could that be motivating? I define a motivational excuse as kind of like a normal excuse except more deceiving because of it’s effect on your brain.

What do I mean? A motivational excuse could look like this: You want to go work out after work and plan on doing it but realize that you also have to go grocery shopping. You tell yourself you need the groceries more then the workout because you haven’t got a thing to eat for dinner and hey, a guy has to eat right?

You avoid the workout assuming that the groceries are more important then the workout. But they aren’t. Going grocery shopping is one of the worlds easiest non-working out activities ever. You can grab some food after your workout you Wuss bag. Get you lazy butt to the gym and stop making motivational excuses.

Motivational Excuses

Essentially a motivational excuse is just like a normal excuse. I like to ad motivational to it because that’s closer to what’s actually happening when you make an excuse. You motivate yourself out of doing something.

This happens all the time. People set up priorities that aren’t nearly as important as other things that need getting done, and the motivate themselves right out a good workout or a walk outside, or that phone call you’ve been meaning to make or whatever.

I say bullshit. I say stop it. I say do what you KNOW you need to do. I say work hard for whatever it is you’re going after.

You want to get in shape? Then turn the internets off and go do it.

You want to go on vacation? Then start saving up your money instead of drinking coffee and beer everyday.

You want to make your home business actually work and earn some money from it? Then be committed to doing whatever it takes to get it done. Stay up late. Get up early. Read books. Ask questions. Any action however small you take towards your goals, they will eventually be achieved if you stay committed and just do it.

Motivational Excuses

motivational excusesMost people tend to slack off when what they really need to do is pick it up. Take it up a notch. We all want to relax and take it easy but that isn’t going to happen unless you kick your own ass into gear and get moving.

Stop making wuss bag excuses that result in the same nothingness you’ve had most of your life. If you want things to change well then my God it’s going to be you and only you who is going to make the change happen.

The world around you won’t change until you do. Period. 100% responsibility is something most people will never understand. They will never get it that they are responsible for their own life and how they react to it.

Instead they will crawl through life playing the blame game, always creating amazingly motivational excuses that lead to the same crap they’ve been eating their whole life.

You know what I say? I say stop eating the crap! Put the poo poo down and pick up the pizza. The delicious pizza of life (that’s hilariously bad) is waiting for you but you have to go earn it, and stop eating shit.

No more motivational excuses people! Just stop it! Go Jump In A Lake Instead!…Success Lake!
