Why I joined the Empower Network?

Hello everyone,
First off I would like to say, I am very excited to be a part of the Empower Network family. I have to admit at first I was completely skeptical of this business. But after watching hours and hours of videos and doing lots of reading and searching I made a decision to sign up.
My sponsor made a very inspiring video which had a statement that got the wheels really spinning in my head. He said “Your job pays you as little as humanly possible so you don’t leave.” Now those 13 words really and I mean REALLY hit hard. Think about it. Every job you have ever work is making a ton of profit off of the effort that you put in every day. You get up like a robot. Day after day. Just to ensure that someone who is holding your fate in their hands pays you just enough to live on or maybe a tiny bit more.
I don’t remember where I heard this from but it goes something like “You’ll never get rich working for someone else”. I have a decent job and I make a okay living. But the reality is I will never become rich from it. I know it. I see it in the faces of the employees that have a few years left to retire. I hear it when they complain about their aching bodies still having to come in and report to a superior who is younger than them for over 25 years. And everyday I ask myself “is that where I want to be in the next 30 years?”
My life to say the least has been a continuous adventure. Before returning to the United States 2 years ago, I had lived in South East Asia for the last 10 years. There is nothing more that I recommend for young people than to travel. Travel, and see what the world is really about. That there are people who are just like you, that have hopes, dreams, desires, failures, and everything else that makes up our human existence. And guess what no matter where you come from. We all put our pants on one leg at a time. Well most of us anyway.
