Tim King

He smarted off to his wife on a pontoon boat on the Hiwassee River and earned a nickname he has carried ever since. He helped plan an avalanche of stacked chairs in a school storage room and is careful to note that he did not pull the rope himself. He ate donuts before one of the biggest football games of a childhood season and learned exactly what that costs.

Tim King writes stories and nothing else, and they are properly built, with the setting laid out before the mistake and the point arriving without ever being announced.

The range widens where you would expect it to narrow. One post covers the things he wishes he had never said. Another covers a diagnosis nobody wants to hear. One covers backtracking when you have lost your way, and works on both levels at once.

Eleven posts. Read them in any order, because each one is complete, and begin with whichever title makes you curious.
