Are you a Leader?
Most people feel like the group norm … let someone else lead… guess what?
Bad idea. When i first learned the definition of what a leader was I got angry because it was so simplified and this was the definition of Leadership I found is “Leadership is Influence Nothing More Nothing Less.” That sums it up doesn’t it? Well, that is the best definition I ever came across.

There are several great teachers on leadership although it is a very big concept and many people can give you their sole definition.
What does leadership mean to you __________________________.
I tried every idea under the sun to put my finger on it but it was tough. To see people in leadership in certain areas of life and ever given the question, they would give an answer based on their experience. I would say leadership is correctly manipulating of an environment of people. If we were to say that we do not manipulate others would be denial.
Kind of like an addict sticking himself with a needle and saying “well, I can control this.”
Truthfully, influence is a power wielded by few because a leader feels OK about giving direction.
Any of the armed forces have a stigma of sending troops to their doom with bullets whizzing by their heads and trying to make them feel ok about dying is a feat in itself. The question still stands … Are You A Leader?
What kind of benefits does leadership do for you?
Well, I wish I could write about 10 things that are strong benefits.. but here is the best I can give you and the only thing most leaders are looking for…
A heart felt THANK YOU!
That’s about all the benefits.
The disappointments usually outweigh the benefits just to let you know. People can give you a song and dance but the truth is … Pain is our (a leader) great motivator!
And now some quotes …. link to their authors.
Affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion.
So this is not an extensive exhaustive study on leadership but it does lend itself to help you understand that no matter where you are on the social scale you are leading somewhere because you influence someone. Find out why you do it and you are ahead of the class.
Most people look for influence but yet have the hardest time on being able to influence anyone because they have yet to understand why … when you do a whole new canvas will unfold before you and your life will take off in meaning and experience.
