So I got hurt, almost died and I shut myself up and inside my stomach tied up in knots, I felt I could barely move. I’ve been in this very closed off tight space for about 6 years now… Last night I discovered something, some times we have to close our shells up tight dig ourselves deep into the sand and hide while inside our ulcers and pains become pearls! The Pearl is the ulcer of an oyster. Something so beautiful comes from their misery. So like the oysters we too can turn our sorrows into treasures!!!
The Pearl was honoured by ancient cultures as drops of sunlight, as pieces of God. Inherent in each of us, are our own drops of sunlight, our own pieces of Divinity. Sometimes we have bad or hard things happen to us, in the bible it talks about a virtuous woman being more valuable than rubies, but it doesn’t talk about the women who have been raped and abused or had their “virtue” taken from them… These women with coal like blackness around them, the intense pressure, scorching pain, turning them into Goddesses that outshine even the most sparkling of diamonds. These are the stars of the night sky, the gifts of the sea, the angels we can see!!!
To know the beauty inside the oyster takes digging and opening up of the outer shell, it takes patience, and time, just like a diamond you have to dig to find, you have to be willing to put in the effort for these beautiful treasures inside yourself, and give yourself the time to create them. Allow yourself the space to be closed and hidden to heal, to become the thing that darkness fears, light. As you allow yourself peace and forgiveness you can create an over flow of abundance to those around you with these treasures. The world needs forgiveness for the pain it has caused you, just as you deserve to forgive yourself for all the ways you coped, dealt and survived, and as I write this to you, dear reader I also write this to myself. I have not been perfect in my space of healing and I deserve to forgive myself for my mistakes and for my negative actions and emotions. We all deserve to love ourselves in all our complex entirety! As we love and forgive ourselves depression anxiety and anger fade away washed away by the ocean of love. As we love ourselves it spreads to the world and friends around us! This is a beautiful gift we have to give the world!!!! I look forward to meeting your light and to our changing the world with light!
