A Systematic Way 2 Attain Mind Mastery

Happy St. Valentine’s! Whaaaaa?

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

14Aug2012 Today being the Saint Valentine’s Day of August, (and what an unlikely mix is that?) I’m going to go ahead and put it out there, how much I would love to be the very best me I can be.  If your head is spinning from the Valentine’s comment, let me catch you up to speed.

Being elderly (and don’t I just wish that meant being in my thirties!) I sometimes have to help myself — even in a single day — with remembering what day it is and what the date is. Hence, for example, the 25th is my birthday (of one month only, although it sometimes seems it must have been every month for about five years running to land me where I am) so every month, when it is the 25th I say to myself that it’s my birthday of August for example.  Usually, when I’m trying to puzzle out in my mind the date, I can remember as far back as that morning and my pointing out to myself it’s my birthday of whatever month I’m in so I then have it!

I also am eager to speak to how nice it is to have met me in recent months. It has been so helpful for me once I became able to hear that “the larger part of me” is with me always and always calling me toward that “which life has caused me to be”. Better, when I came closer to understanding what all those words really meant and really meant for me and began to remember them on a regular basis, began thinking about myself more clearly, began including these things in daily aspects!

And, now, today as I speak of how nice it is to have met me, I think of Dr. Wayne Dyer and Anita Moorjani and how wonderful it is and how much sense it makes to me that who I am to be in this life and the role I am to play is to be myself. That thrills me as of all the roles I could seek I can feel this one being the most fulfilling. Perhaps one advantage to having lived as long as I have is that on at least one or two occasions I have actually experienced (or come close enough to experiencing) being myself (and how exhilarating that felt) that I can appreciate the truthfulness behind the sentiment.

I know, too, that it really matters to me that she expressed how clearly she had had so much fear in her life in trying to please and be “good enough” to meet up with her own expectations and the ones she imagined others had for her. I can relate to how those things stand compellingly in the way. I should say for her “stood” in the way. I also appreciate the beaming smile when answering Wayne Dyer that “yes” since she has returned to life from her near death experience she has “been herself”.

How very exciting to me it is to know that all I am expected to be is all I really am. As I shared the story with my sister, at its end I expressed (and it really came from my heart) that I knew myself there is only one MS in the world and it is evident even from the last couple of days and the cards she received (she had a toe removed) that others feel as I do that it is a tremendous gift she gives the world to just be who she is.

And I feel the same about myself. I am the only one who can actually be me, being me is a wonderful thing and I wish to be it! 14Aug2012
