Over the past few months, I have been learning many different areas of online marketing from mentors, leaders and also testing different marketing techniques myself.  While I never quite understood what backlinking was, now I am finding there are easy ways to get a backlink for your site.   While the search engines are going to give you the most attention and reward you with traffic, this is the one reason why backlinks have become so important for our online business.

Let me share this easy backlinking tip that you apply within the comments section of your blog.  This tip I learned from a fellow Empower Network team member and when I noticed how easy and effective this technique was, I decided to share it with you.

Easy Blogging Backlinking Tip

An important aspect of driving more traffic to your blog site is engaging and connecting with others.  I’ve been coaching and consulting clients for almost 3 years now about the importance of social media, however, one aspect that many business owners and online marketers miss is the fact of sharing content with others and also reciprocating.

Visiting other blogs and spending the time to leave comments and syndicate their blog posts is a good backlinking tip because as I show you in the video, you give recognition to the blog owner but also share a link to your favorite post that is complimentary or adds value for other visitors.  This task can be delegated to training assistants or virtual assistants.  However, I highly suggest that you initially do this on your own to understand and experience this important technique and marketing strategy.

This easy backlinking tip provides a good positive gesture, builds your visibility  and builds your reputation as a responsible online leader.  This is especially important when you are building a team as I am within Empower Network.  I hope that it sets an example of recognizing others that creates meaningful connections, builds character, trust and all around positive experience.  Others see this which in turn will help the online community as a whole.

Backlinking Tip Results

One area to mention is when you link the blog owners keyword to their blog post as explained in my video, the search engines will take notice and give that keyword more attention in their search engine rankings.  This is a win, win for both the blog site owner and you, because when more traffic is coming to their blog, you have eyeballs that could take notice to your comment and click on your link.  So while this backlinking tip may seem pointless to some, consider if you were to visit, comment and apply this technique on 5 – 10 blog sites per day.  That would be well over 150 backlinks.

See a bigger picture of how your efforts no matter how big or small, will accentuate those efforts and all be a part of gaining more exposure online. It will build better ranking and search results for you and your business.  Don’t forget to be responsible for using the backlinking tip and don’t leave useless comments or spam the blog post.  Keep it real, keep it fun and always think about others first.
