How Blogging Can Save Lives

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

This is how blogging can save lives …

I would like to share with you a passion of ours.

I’m not too sure if you’re aware of this part of our story, but a few months ago we adopted a stray pup from out of a park that is close to our apartment.

I can’t even begin to express the amount of joy she has brought into our home.

One of our team members put it very succinctly when she said …

Who rescued who?”

Now the point of this post is not to ask you to go out and rescue an animal, unless you want to of course

The purpose of today’s post is to share with you the power of blogging.

Yesterday I felt compelled to take action and urge people to sign a petition whose cause is very close to our hearts.

But instead of just slapping a link on Facebook, I spent all day creating a video and then a blog post.

So far our blog post has reached 9,548 people just from one FanPage.

It’s also been syndicated to over 1,000 bookmarking sites.

Which brings me to the point of today’s post.

What we do here at Empower Network is not just about making money …

… it’s about changing lives.

You Have A Voice and your voice counts.

So if I may ask you …

What is it that YOU are passionate about?

What gets you fired up?

What makes you want to take action?

Edward Bulwer-Lytton said it best when he said …

The pen is mightier than the sword.

Your blog can be your sword.

Yesterday I was confronted by something I was listening to in an Inner Circle audio (one of the training products here at Empower Network).

Someone I truly respect and admire said:

“You do no-one no good by being broke! How can you help anyone if you’re broke?”

He then went on to talk about how some people think getting rich makes you a bad person.

To which he responded …

“Having more money just makes you more of what you already were.”

But this is where he really got my attention.

He said:

“If you feel so bad about making a lot of  money then make it and give it away.

CONTRIBUTE to your community.”

And that’s when the light bulb really came on for me.

We have in our hands the opportunity to make a difference.

A REAL difference.

In our own lives.

In our family’s lives.

In our community.

That’s what we have here.

Empower Network is not another ’Get Rich Quick’, ‘Fly By Night’ gimmick.

Empower Network is visionary.

Here is my blog post from yesterday, and this is how I am choosing to save lives.

===> You can see it here …

This is how we are using our blog to make a difference.

Thank you for allowing me to share our passion with you.
