WELL!

I would be a hypocrite if I do not blog about this…. (I am human, too. :-))

I could put it in THAT category of what exactly happened to me when I attended my First Event in Austin Texas… and I was so HAPPY! And excited! I created my first goofy video due to that “push” that some of the leaders in that event gave me! So… it was Shaqir… and then Anna.. and then Alex Z. And also in other conversations with Chuck.

So, during my first event, I did my first video DURING my First Event, and I did another video on my drive back, and then when I actually got home, and thought about uploading these on YouTube, I realized that my two Empower Network Videos (out of two.. LOL!) got flagged by EN haters! I later on of course found out that I was NOT the only one and there were leaders who have hundreds of videos on YT got flagged and entire channels were shut down.

Bummer, right?

What did I do? Well, I went back to all my blog posts that had those videos embedded in, and fixed it. I also decided to host my own videos and uploaded them anyway. So I just changed the embed codes. It’s a pain, but then I “reframed” it… well… at least I am grateful that I knew how to troubleshoot and went on with my day.

But where did that leave me? Well… it left a little bit of the “negative event” in the way I did my business… I didn’t continue creating videos and stopped with those two videos. (Because I had this crazy trauma about getting so sick with being in front of the camera that I just quit doing it because it resulted in me getting crazy stalkers, so I went oblivion from the camera – I used to come out on T.V. as a broadcast journalist, delivering prime time hourly breaking news, NIGHTLY – no days off – many many years ago, when I was younger).

Fast forward to my second event… in Chicago… well, more prodding from other leaders! Kevin, Ed, and even Laura were encouraging me! And then of course my new international brothers ALSO were prodding me to make videos… so I posted several new videos…

It was in Chicago that I went up the Stage, too! So it was real cool – there were so many things that were stopping me from going to Chicago – but I did ALL THAT IT TOOK to get there, literally, come hell or high water! (Because it was flooding in Chicago that time .. I took videos of that, too). I just followed my intuition and just attended anyway.

This was when our Leaders RESPONDED to the YouTube fiasco…. we now have our own Video Hosting! So… I did my own training, I just watched Dave Wood’s Video training – and FOLLOWED it … that broke THAT FEAR, that 13 year old FEAR for GOOD! I did my own 90 Day Video challenge… what he taught was true. And I thanked him, personally, in Denver.
