In High School I had some friends ask me to teach them how to write backwards, too. So I used and shared the technique I learned early on to learn how to write “forward”. Was it useful? For me, it was useful “writing backwards” to the point of my own entertainment.
Growing up I had little journals, I quit writing in them when I realized my older sister was reading my journals / diaries. LOL! (Well, she was also a kid back then, she never outgrew the snoopiness though! LOL!)
Anyway, so I then started writing backwards in my journal / diaries. For whatever it was worth to me then, until I recognized I can just learn something new.
I learned how to play the piano. I learned how to paint, oil, water color, ink pen, I realized I was artistic. My teachers recognized that, too. There was a year in grade school when I also represented my school for an Art competition.
Gifts
It was like other people seeing these “unique gifts” first before I ever did.
I then afterwards recognized I could play the piano… and this one is literal… I could literally “play any music / song by ear” … people say, “just play it by ear”, I can do that.
And of course, I recognized that too, as another gift from God.
So when people would ask, what do you do for fun, I can do the regular things that people normally do for fun… but I can also just be as content and happy trying to complete “a song” that I heard maybe on the radio and try to play it on the piano… remembering the tune, as it got seemingly “recorded in my brain” and I play it out on the piano.
Weird?
I could go to an art store, buy a blank canvas, some fresh linseed oil, and spend one Friday evening painting what comes to my mind to paint.
These books by philosophers, example the “Think and Grow Rich” Book by Napoleon Hill, or “Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles…. some cynical people find it weird, but if anybody just plain read it and try and understand what those books have to teach and share, you will find that it just makes great sense!
It’s true, and I share this with friends and relatives – it all starts in our minds.
To an artist, to me, for example, if I feel like painting, I start with that BLANK canvas, and with the THOUGHT in my mind about how I want that picture in MY MIND would get transferred into the canvas. Through action. Through creative action. Through inspired action.
Same thing with anyone who wants to prepare a simple meal. It starts in their minds WHAT to cook, and then they take action and buy the ingredients and chop them up and mix them all together and that initial “THOUGHT” of that meal became a THING, because we applied action to it.
So thoughts are things. Dreams are things. And they become things, they come into fruition AFTER we apply action behind those thoughts. Behind those dreams.
