And then the rest, I just built upon the little courageous things I was able to accomplish a little bit at a time, kicking little fears a little bit at a time…

… and before I knew it, I started feeling comfortable enough to talk about what happened to me… I reached out to my friends or relatives that I’ve got alienated by because they just thought I was being “snobbish” – nobody knew of course that I was living in hell during my marriage. They didn’t know because they were not the ones living with nor providing for my ex-husband. They had their own opinions and perceptions.

Heartbreak could be your best beginning

For a very long time, of course my bruises healed, but the emotional hurts, sometimes, it seems and it feels like, you get deformed by emotional scars. If you let it. I guess I let it, for a while.

Until I found myself getting more drawn to the healing that Jesus provides.  Heartbreak could be our best beginning.  Remember my blog series where I wrote about, sometimes, we need to get to that “broken state” first in order to get fixed properly?

In life, we may lose, but failure is not in failing, but in losing the lesson that almost always go with every adversity.  It’s a constant battle between right and wrong, between good and evil.

I ended up realizing, in my life, in my own struggles and pain, how God, when you believe Him and His promises, that if you confess your sins, and if you allow Jesus the Savior, to SAVE you, then He will forgive you of all your sins. And your sins will be as far as the east is from the west.  It doesn’t matter what others think, what matters to me is what God Thinks!  🙂 (since we can’t please everybody anyway, why not work on pleasing God instead?  🙂

I have asked for forgiveness from people that I may have wronged unconsciously or unintentionally. I have forgiven people in my life who have caused me tremendous pain and suffering. Why? Because God forgave me.

There will still be people who will hurt us and cause us pain in our life.. going forward… that’s why it’s a daily thing, it’s a daily consciousness….

… that when you realize that you are in front of an angry person who has no control of his or her temper… get the hell away! Don’t go down that path! It’s not your job to change people! 🙂

… BUT it is our job to always speak, and say, “hey, that was hurtful” or let them know about the negative effects of their behavior. Because sometimes, they too, are not aware. That’s how people grow. But do not take it upon yourself to “suffer through until they change.”…. because they may never change!

And then leave. At least that way, the other person would know what your position is on that situation.

What I used to do was, I just shut up and leave. And the person who have wronged me just end up realizing I was no longer there. And then they reach back out to me not knowing that they have hurt me, and then they act as if nothing was wrong. But I allowed it to fester in my heart, I ended up nurturing the pain, and then ended up having unforgiveness in my heart. Which was the wrong way to handle it! It stressed me out! All of those years until that point when I have evolved and grown into the person I am now. 🙂

And nobody knew the kind of stress I was going through! And remember my blog posts on Anger and Forgiveness (which started a whole long series on Many People Are Angry and Do Not Know It )….

… it became my process all over again! Like the missing puzzle pieces getting put together! All over again!

But at least now… the auto-correction that happens… I no longer go down a path a very long path, and then realize the mistake… ooopss… fix it!
