Two people write this one, and they say we, which changes the feel of it more than you would expect. Gem and Sarah Elizabeth explain blogging technique the way a couple explains something across a kitchen table, admitting what they had been ignoring until last week.
The teaching posts are small and clear. A trackback turns out to be a remote comment, and having explained it they confess they had been quietly deleting the notifications for ages. There are pieces on building backlinks, on getting a blog noticed, on what to do on the days concentration refuses to arrive.
Then comes a large run of celebrity and news writing: topless photographs, an autopsy report, a two faced cat, a list of unexpected celebrity pairings. That material exists to catch searches and does not pretend otherwise, so read it as an example of chasing a trending topic rather than as advice.
The post worth hunting for describes a team member whose first language is not English, who joined partly to practise it and could not keep up with a fast talking host on a call. It is small and it tells you more about how they work than any motivation post could.
Read the technique posts first.
