The 3 Cs in Marketing

Create traffic.
Capture leads.
Convert to sales.
I just figured out that even though I have an awesome vehicle in Empower Network (100% commissions on all the sales, plus the part of network marketing that makes the big checks: building a team and getting pass-ups, again 100% commissions, not 1-2%, and as wide and as deep as you want… well, you can’t really stop the deep, and with what I just learned, you can’t stop the wide either).
Anyway. That was a long sentence for a bracket.
So, I have an awesome vehicle in Empower Network.
But I’m still in the S-quadrant
as a Network Marketer you are a business owner
See, I still have to drive traffic to my blog and capture pages. Either manually (free) or more or less automatically (paid). I have to find places to place ads, I have to connect with people on social media.
Though Empower Network IS a system. When somebody comes through, becomes a lead, and then buys, the system (almost) automatically does the upsell. Yes, it happened to me. The first time I was like WOW! This works.
So, I have a system but I still have to do all the work which makes me in Robert Kiyosaki’s book a self-employee.
I just heard about a guy who spends 12-14 hours a day, connecting on Facebook! Yes, he makes some sales. The problem is, he only owns the basic product and has lost (passed-up) a lot of the higher paying sales. Anyway, he spends all day on Facebook. Is that a business? No, it’s a freaking, bad paying job!
I used some paid methods, solo-ads, co-ops but mostly used free methods like Craigslist, connecting on Facebook, blogging, sharing in groups. And I did get some sales. But it takes a lot of time.
Funny, how you hear or see something and suddenly you see something with different eyes.
I kept saying, I had a business. And online business. Thinking I was in the B-quadrant.
In fact, I’m still in the S-quadrant because I still do everything myself.
A B-quadrant person does not. They might show up in the office so to speak once or twice a week but other wise enjoy life.
When I heard about that kid (sorry, but he’s a young guy, at least half my age) I thought – because today it’s sunny and warm, it’s supposed to be over 30°C (86 fahrenheit) I’d hate to have to spend all my time on Facebook to reach out to people, connect, strike up conversations… instead of being in my garden. Maybe on a rainy day…
And then an image formed in my mind:
I rather cuddle in front of the fire place with my honey on a rainy day. Sip on a hot chocolate. Watch en episode of Xena. Or go to the movies. Or play a board game with some friends. Or have a long s oak in the bath tub.
It’s really dawning on my that I am still self-employed. If I don’t work, no income (well, a bit from the passive income that’s coming in), no new sales, no new team members.
So, when I watched this webinar, I suddenly saw the difference!
Instead of spending money and time to create traffic in order to capture leads, why not spend money on getting sales.
Then I invest some time to speak to my new team members because as they say: it’s easier to sell to a customer than to a prospect.

The free way of course works. It will always work. If you have more time than money then go that route, learn as fast as possible how to drive traffic to your capture pages because here at Empower Network you don’t have to learn how to capture leads. The company gives you awesome capture pages that are hooked up with your Aweber or Getresponse account.
Eventually you might want to learn that part, too and create your own capture pages so you can sell anything you want.
But for starters, you want to earn money.
You want to move from the S quadrant to the B quadrant.
You want to outsource your selling process.
