Xarah is asking herself:
Why do people chose Network Marketing?
Why do people want to build a business?
And Xarah comes up with those answers:
Because they want more.
Because they want more for their family.
Because they want to help other people.
I don’t know the stats but I’m sure every day hundreds maybe thousands of people join a Network Marketing business. Yet, even though with lots of good intentions only a few really get the big checks and a few more earn a bit of money. Unfortunately most Networkers quit, some move on to the next company.
Why is that?
Very often you are being lied to. People believe what their sponsor tells them and simply repeat it. It waters down. Because nobody can repeat word by word what the heard. At least I can’t.
Nobody told you you need some skills. You need to learn the business like any other business.
=> Wikipedia says about Network Marketing:
Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation. Other terms for MLM include pyramid selling, network marketing, and referral marketing.
Most commonly, the salespeople are expected to sell products directly to consumers by means of relationship referrals and word of mouth marketing. Some people use direct selling as a synonym for MLM, although MLM is only one type of direct selling, which started centuries ago with peddling.
MLM companies have been a frequent subject of criticism as well as the target of lawsuits. Criticism has focused on their similarity to illegal pyramid schemes, price fixing of products, high initial start-up costs, emphasis on recruitment of lower-tiered salespeople over actual sales, encouraging if not requiring salespeople to purchase and use the company’s products, potential exploitation of personal relationships which are used as new sales and recruiting targets, complex and sometimes exaggerated compensation schemes, and cult-like techniques which some groups use to enhance their members’ enthusiasm and devotion.
In contrast to MLM is single-level marketing, where the salesperson is rewarded for selling the product directly to the consumer.
If you are new to the business, you will find some really valuable tips here on this blog – welcome to the industry.
You will want to learn as much as possible about your new business and this industry. Not because you want to tell all this new found information to everybody but because you need to understand it. Network Marketing is different than anything else. And – unfortunately – there are a lot of miss-understandings out there.
Building Network Marketing
If you have tried to build a Network Marketing business several times and never gotten any where – I know what you are talking about because I’ve been there – don’t give up yet. You will find some really valuable information here.
I lost count how many network marketing companies I’ve joined. And was never able to build a big team or substantial income. Now I know it wasn’t my fault. Just making more phone calls was not the solution. Just collecting more no’s because I was told a yes will come if i have enough no’s.
I’m not the only one who developed a phone phobia. I bought books and courses to get over it yet I just don’t like making phone calls to prospects or leads. It’s much more fun and easier to talk to a customer.
I’ve given up and got back sucked in. Gave up. Got sucked in. Countless times. But I always believed Network Marketing is the fairest way to earn money. And everybody can do it – if taught well and mentored – if they want to.
You do realize though that not everybody wants to do the business. No matter how great it is. And not everybody wants to buy your product even though your upline told you everybody wants it and it sells all by itself.
I don’t remember right now who said it or where or when. He was talking about how he was told the product would sell itself. He put it in his front yard to see if it does. It’s still there. It didn’t sell itself. I thought that was a very funny image. Can you picture your product sitting in your front yard? Selling itself? LOL
It’s not your fault
What a relief! Yes, it’s not your fault for not having success in Network Marketing – yet. Doesn’t that make you feel better? Now we can start fresh.
It’s time to teach and to learn. None of us wants any more rejection. We want to go on vacation when we want. We want to treat our family to a nice dinner any time we feel like.
