Network Marketers, you have chosen an uncommon path and in an infrequently recognized and appreciated industry to pursue your dreams. You work long hours consistently and persistently far beyond the time you spend in your jobs and taking care of your family.
You deserve ultimate credit and respect, not only for everything you do in pursuit of your dreams, but also for the extraordinary value you bring to others in assisting them to reach their dreams.
Your commitment to the fundamental principle of our industry to serve others is unmatched.
Everyday in overcoming adversity from lack of appreciation from family members and friends, their unwillingness to recognize your earnest work and belief in your business and your dreams, you persevere. I am proud of your continued determination when on so many occasions it is uncomfortable do so.
I have come to appreciate, that in spite of how difficult it is so often to even get people to allow us to “show the plan;” and how uncomfortable to hear NO, we begin to understand and actually be compassionate towards folks in coming to the realization they either do not understand the extraordinary value our industry offers or choose not to take the time to understand because they are focused on the things they are committed and interested.
In that regard, we are able to have compassion for people as we continue on with our endeavor and offer our business opportunities to others.
I’ve learned so much over the last three month as a member of the Empower Network watching and listening to both David Wood and David Sharpe and how they have each demonstrated overcoming adversity in their lives and how they continue to do so in growing a global business that has exceeded all kinds or records and achieved plateaus that will I do not expect will be matched any time soon.
In overcoming adversity, David Wood, the creator and co-founder of Empower Network always takes on the position and attitude that nothing is ever wrong. He is able to see the difficulties and setbacks as opportunities for making or creating something new and better. I am learning so much from him, as wild and crazy as he ofter displays; a total free spirit.
A close friend of mine and godfather to my 27 month old daughter told me last week in taking a course at Landmark Education entitled “Being Extraordinary” that he learned that in the face of difficult and challenging situations, one can always approach them intrinsically that nothing is wrong , whatever the situation may be. He coached me in overcoming adversity I had recently been confronted that I could create a way of being that nothing is wrong, and it worked.
In overcoming adversity, I am taking on nothing is wrong in all aspects of my life.
Since that time, I have been confronted with several adverse experiences, one of which was actually threating to my life. As difficult as it was I was able to be that there was nothing wrong in that situation. I admit I felt a little unsettled but I also felt empowered at the same time.
As network marketers, you are that kind of person.
If you were not, you would have quit long ago in overcoming adversity in the experience we constantly share in our businesses.
