Since I have decided to eliminate all animal produce from my diet and become vegan I have started an ongoing research and education on natural nutrition. It is the best thing I have ever done. Why Vegan? I get asked a lot of 2 main questions-“what do you eat” and how do you get your protein ” . I can answer those in one simple sentence I eat fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, roots, leaves and I get all my protein from there. What a liberating thought. Why Vegan? There is no nutrient that we need , that we can not get from non animal source.
Simple , easy and a good looking food. Can you imagine a picture of body parts of a chicken or a cow in your dining room wall. Now how “wonderful “would be to get your visitors and show them this vivid picture of bruised chicken breast or other meat just before you serve them a roast chicken dinner ? I woudn’t think that they will fully enjoy the dinner.
Now imagine a picture of a blooming vegetable garden in you dining room wall. You see ripe red tomatoes, shiny green beans and sweet peppers. I am sure , that whatever you serve your visitors they will love it.
You never get to meet your meat. Clever marketing made us believe, that we need meat fish and dairy. For every person fed on a Standard American Diet you can feed 15 on a plant based diet. The only reasons that we are thought to eat meat are the fact that we have been given it as infants and also the social and market pressure.
Your basic nature is kindness, compassion and a sense of inner connectedness.
When you consume meat you express cruelty, denial, ignorance, force, selfishness . We are soft and delicate and physically weak. Humans have only 1/6 of the strength of a chimpanzee. And the only way humans can dominate animals is by using implements and treachery. We have small mouths and small teeth. Can you imagine chasing down a dear or a cow and hunting it down with your body and then with biting a piece of their body with your mouth?
If the animals could talk they would have told you, that to make them fat quickly they have been given highly poised grains mixed with proceed meat of their own brothers and sisters and lots of antibiotics and growth hormones. I will only mention the extreme torture and pain they suffer before they die,.You get all those poisons every time you eat meat or dairy. So the hormones, antibiotics and high cholesterol cells continue their life in your body .On cellular level all the fear , that the animal feel , just before it dies makes his meat incredibly toxic , so you are practically eating fear and frustration on the top of everything else.
. ” When we kill animals and eat them, they end up killing us because their flesh, which contains cholesterol and saturated fat was never never intended for human beings, who are natural herbivores” William C Roberts M.D Editor in Chief , The American Journal of Cardiology
To me personally why vegan is out of the question. The question is Why you are not vegan?
“To be free we must practice freeing others.
To be loved we must practice loving others.
To have true self respect we must respect others.
We are all one -the animals and all voiceless beings, the starving human beings and the future generations. Heal the world with Love and compassion
Sending Blessings and Love
