Building up momentum to keep going and conquering the learning curve

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Getting started in just about anything is the most difficult task you might ever encounter. In the beginning you have what is called the learning curve. It is the steepest in the beginning; it might seem not so tough when starting out. Once you get into what it is you have to do you see that it is a lot more difficult to what you expected it to be. That is when you have to put in a lot more effort than what you initially expected.

Learning curve

You start of slow, by staying committed to the process you improve as time goes on. There is the uphill battle that requires you to put in extra effort that what you initially anticipated. The only way to get better at something until you reach the plateau level is by constantly practicing. If you did not get the results you wanted go back work on yourself and go again, have another go at it. You might not succeed the second time round, but that only means that you need to take a step back assess the situation and have another go at it. Eventually if you keep at it long enough you will make a breakthrough.

It will not always be an uphill battle for you; you will reach the top somehow and sometime. Once you have reached the top of the hills, the view from there is absolutely exquisite. It will be a completely different world that you see, a whole lot of struggle, but a world of absolute abundance, freedom, happiness, wealth and health. You will realize that toughing it out on the journey was well worth the struggle. What you get on top of the plateau is truly phenomenal.

What is even more important is the whole process that enabled you to have become the person who you have become, because you do not get in life what you want, you get in life what you want.

Learning something new constantly might not always be a very pleasant experience, but in the end it is the most valuable experience you will ever have. Once you have gained knowledge about something that is your best treasure you will ever possess. It is a treasure that would always be yours, and that nobody would ever be able to take away from you.

Instead of complaining about the learning, see it as a blessing instead of a curse. It truly is a blessing regardless of how painful the process. Make the best of it and just know that every individual has a learning curve to go through.
