Step 1 – Login to Empower
•Click “The Big Green” Login to Start Blogging (get out of easy mode if you are in it)
Step 2 – Edit Your Profile
•Under Users Tab, click My Profile…
•Fill it in with your Name, Website & Bio
Step 3 – Setup Gravatar
•Using the same email that is in your profile above go to Gravatar.com
•Upload a photo & connect it to your email….
Step 4 – Upload a Header Image
•Under Appearance, Home Photo
•Re-size a picture to 277×277 (You can use www.picresize.com)
•Upload it to the Home Photo section in your blog
Step 5 – Change Menu Tabs (if you want)
•First create a page in the Pages section (Partner with you, about us, Marketing Tools ect.)
•Then under Appearance, Menus
•Add The pages you want and remove the pages you don’t want
Step 6 – Customize Your Sidebar (Widgets)
•Under Appearance, Widgets
•Drag over the widgets you want on the sidebar (recent posts, links & Text are most common)
•To put banners, videos, or text use the: Text widget…
