I just landed in San Francisco yesterday to spend a week with family I haven’t seen in probably 15 years.  It was so fabulous reconnecting with uncle and cousins.  I’m traveling with my mom so it’s a small reunion of sorts.

One of my favorite things to do is fly.  I love seeing the earth from above and I never get tired of looking out the window… it’s so relaxing to me and I’m awe struck by the earth and clouds below.

It’s fun to look out the left window and see nothing but ocean and islands and looking to the right, you have city and mountains.  These are some snapshots I took of the California shoreline and the Channel Islands.  You can see the cloud cover below as well.

Are You in the Game of Entrepreneurship?

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, the fearful, the timid or the person who can never run a risk.  These are individuals who think differently and focus on what could go wrong.

The rewards of entrepreneurship are mind boggling.  Time and financial freedom being the mainstay.  And when you truly wrap your mind around tossing out your alarm clock and waking to money in your ‘inbox’… it will take your imagination and dreams to the next level.

The work you do is the work you love because it’s the vehicle that gives you the life you want.

And even if you don’t want the big bucks… maybe you just want to be able to replace the family income and nothing more… it’s freedom.  Anytime you have the freedom to decide your schedule, no boss, no asking for time off and sleeping well because the bills are paid and then some.. that’s freedom.

You’ve got to be ‘in the game‘ and ‘stay in the game’, however, in order to move toward those goals.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been frustrated throughout my online marketing career but those were times that I call “character building” and “planting my flag deeper”.

See most people… 98% of people… when they come across a challenge like figuring out how to make money online, will just quit and call it a scam.  I have to shake my head in disbelief and wonder if they realize how silly and ignorant they are.

It’s not the business.

It’s the person. 

It’s their work ethic.
It’s their desire level for a different life.
It’s their fears.
It’s their lack of personal development.  That’s the big one.  Personal development.

Did you know… your business will grow in relation to how fast you grow your mindset?  I can always tell who reading the right books, listening to the right audios, hanging out with the right people and what influence they’re under by their words and actions.

I’m going to write about staying in the game tomorrow so more on this later.. But today, I want to encourage you to get in the game!

You can’t begin to have what you want if you’re not willing to get in the game!

Everyone I know who works a job or is laid off says to me…

“Debbie, I hate my job, I wish I could do what you do.  I wish I work from home in my pjs.  I wish I could travel.  I wish I could spend more time with my parents and family and friends.  I wish I could find the time to get to the hobbies I used to enjoy.”

And I say,

“You can.  It’s a decision to have that lifestyle.  And with that comes understanding how it works, you needs a few skillsets that should take you a couple months to figure out and it takes a positive, ‘can do – never quit’ mindset.  Sign up here and let’s get you the training you need to get started on those dreams.”

And you know what?

Usually One of two things happens at that moment.

1)  They take no action because they’re ‘not interested’ in that home based business stuff to which I have to laugh because its the very thing they just said they wished they could do!  So I say… “Ok, go back to your job and have a great life!”

2)  They get started for a week and because they have to work and are focused on having to get off their hiney and do something in this ‘fast, give it to me now’ society we live in, they forgot their ‘why’.

My “Why” is because I refused to be an employee.  I hate being told what to do and exchange time for money.  I gotta be free to be me.

What’s your “Why?”

Your “Why” Will Get You Into The Game

Once it’s clear why you want to do whatever it is that you have to do to be successful in your home based business, then you are fueled up to go to the next which is your “how” and encompasses the “staying in the game”.

The moment you identify your WHY… you’ll hardly be able to contain yourself. 

You’ll want to get started!

Any fear, any financial obstacle, any excuse will disappear and you’ll find yourself already becoming the stronger person and someone you didn’t know you were.  You’ll become a beast!  (In a good way!).

And you’re WHY can’t be just to pay the bills or buy a car.  There’s got to be a strong desire for that time freedom and financial success can do for yourself, for your family and for others.

I decided in 2006 I would find a way to make money online and figure it out.  I was so determined that I paid no attention to the challenges. I wanted it bad enough… like I wanted to breathe… and the “how” showed up.

I received an email yesterday from a business partner… who was in the game but didn’t stay in the game… then got back in and is getting results.  I’ll share that with you tomorrow.

I’m heading out to spend time with my family today…I think we’ll be sitting around sharing stories, looking at old photos of the good times in the past and appreciate what we have this moment, today.
