TeamDixon…the TRUTH had to weigh in on this topic!!!

How great is it to get a few more hours of sun light? Thank you Daylight Savings time for the extra sun light. Now to talk football when it’s not even football season is a blessing. Who will land Peyton Manning? To start off – who wouldn’t want Peyton Manning? I have been watching football since the early 70′s and I don’t remember a player of this caliber being up for grabs in their prime. Sure several players have gone to different teams but it was when their skill had fallen just a bit. Peyton Manning has at least five years left in his prime, minimum. The Denver Broncos got first crack at Manning. ProFootballWeekly wonders if Peyton would be the perfect mentor for Tim Tebow. Watch this

The Broncos won’t be keeping Tim Tebow. To make Manning happy they will have to trade Tebow and beef up the offensive line and bring in skill players. Money is not an issue but the team around Manning will be. CBS 4 Denver had this to say, “…A plane carrying Manning and Elway landed at Centennial Airport at about 1:30 p.m. Friday. From there, an SUV took them to Broncos Headquarters and Training Facility Dove Valley where their meeting continued for another five hours. They mainly discussed the offense and the fact that they are more than willing to turn it over to Manning. The future Hall of Famer also took a tour of the facilities at Dove Valley. Money doesn’t seem to be an issue for the Broncos because they have cap room and are willing to pay. The team had hoped to sign Manning before he left town, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. CBS4 reporter Gary Miller says Manning will leave town Saturday morning to visit with the Arizona Cardinals and probably the Miami Dolphins after that. But the Broncos got the first shot and sources tell CBS4 they think that’s a very good sign…” Follow Gary Miller by clicking here now.

Peyton is used to playing inside the dome in good weather so Arizona and Miami have to sound appealing but Denver with John Elway seems kind of magical. Being a Cowboy fan I want to know where Jerry Jones is on this. I mean I love Tony and all but come on we are talking about the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL. We all understand how great a quarterback Peyton Manning is but he has had a great group of skill players. He has had a center in Jeff Saturday that is a shoe in for the Hall of Fame. So no matter where Peyton goes it will take some time and he will need other players. The last time I counted there were 11 players on offense. We have not even discussed defense. Even though Peyton is the greatest QB of all time he only has 1…count them 1 Super Bowl ring. I bet Peyton wouldn’t mind his little brother’s defense in New York. That will be for another article. Where ever he goes it will be interesting to watch. See you on the grid iron…

TeamDixon…the TRUTH…at least as we see it…
