Breaking The Writers Block

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

writers blockWhether you are an online money maker, a freelance writer, or just someone who enjoys writing, writers block is real and when it hits, it can really be debilitating. Some of you how it feels, others may not have experienced writers block yet, and if you haven’t believe me, you will at some point. The feeling of writers block is that of having your mind full of so much cluster that you can’t write a sentence that makes sense much less an entire article.

So How Do You Get Out Of Writers Block

So I’m sure you are wondering, as a money maker, how can you get yourself out of writers block should you fall into it. Well, while there is no automatic cure, I have found a few ideas that have become helpful for me when writers block hits.

  •  Visit Other Peoples Blogs – It never hurts to peek around at someone else’s blog to see if it unlocks your writers block. See what kind of blogs are working well and which ones aren’t, by doing this, instinctively your writers block opens up and your money maker writing skills may come back.
  •  Look Back At Your Past Articles – Often times when writers block hits, looking back at some older articles can branch off some new ideas on topics. The money maker doesn’t always want to take the time to do this but if you are the one writing and you are suffering from writers block, this honestly is one of the easiest ways to alleviate your writers block.
  • Do Some Blog Commenting – This sometimes can open the door of writers block for the money maker and not only inspire new topics, but it can also open doors for new relationships as well as doing some trackbacks as well.
  • Watch the news – Sounds boring right? It really isn’t though, especially when you can read the silly stories, the heart wrenching stories, or the stories going on in your local city. Writers block can vanish by the site of a good news story, and you never know, as the money maker you may find a story that you can spin off of and increase your reputation from too.
  • Write A Random Blog – This is sometimes just plain fun. Choose a word or topic and then just write openly about it. If you can’t think of a word or a topic, use a photograph. You would be surprised at how this can unlock writers block and the money maker can soon get back on track.
  • Step Outside Of The Box – Do something you’ve never done before. For instance, if you’ve never added a video to your article, create one or find one on YouTube. If you don’t usually throw in a photograph with your article, try it, you’ll be amazed at how true the saying is, “a picture is worth a thousand words.”
  • Step Away From Writing For A Bit – There are just times when writers block gets the best of you and the best thing you can do is just walk away from the writing table for a little while. The money maker knows that it won’t last for long, sooner than later you will be right back at it and better than ever. The other thing that a money maker realizes is that sometimes your mind and body just need a break. Go outside, go to the beach, go shopping, or go to maybe the zoo. I bet you dollars to donuts that something will stifle the writers block and ideas and thoughts will come raining down on you.

What Does It All Mean?

If you get a stint of writers block, don’t worry, we all do at one time or another. Use one of the methods in this article and most important, remember you are a money maker, and a good one at that, so don’t let something so small as writers block get you down.
