What is keeping you from your purpose?

Have you ever quit on something before you even start? Have you thought: I wish I could have the money this person has”, or I wish I could change my body, I wish I could drive the car she is driving… I wish, I wish, I wish…

What is stopping you from getting it? What is keeping you from your purpose?

Most of us grew up learning that we have to be  fine with what we have, with what life give us, and if we don’t have something that we want we have 2 options: Think “oh no how can I afford that lifestyle? it’s very expensive” or think “how am I gonna get it?”Sadly, most of the times is the first option and we just wish we could afford it/make it happen/have it.

After reading one comment of a woman complaining because she didn’t make money trying the system, that all were excuses I thought: Why is she doing that? I can read nothing but excuses and she is blaming other people instead of taking action and stop thinking I wish, If I had… or I wish I could.

More thoughts came to my mind… How the history would be if some men and women didn’t have the courage to fight for our countries? Their purpose was not accomplished and probably our lives could be different now.

Then, I thought about people from the Bible with “big” purposes. people that inspire me but of course they had to give up on their fears and believe it was possible, God was with them, that they could do it, or whatever they had to believe in order make it possible. And of course their mindset had to be in the right place, or it could be a disaster. I see the woman was complaining this morning her worst enemy is her mindset.

I will tell you 2 stories that you can find the long version in the Bible.

One night Joseph had a dream and he told his family what it was and they thought his dream was very wrong. Then his brothers were jealous of him because he was the favorite son of his father, and they sold him as a slave. Can you imagine that? He had all of the reasons to feel miserable if he wanted, or to hate his family, or to become a horrible person “because of his past” but he also could leave all of the excuses and become the person he supposed to be. And he did it. He became the best of the best… Pharaoh brought him to the top with him. It was not easy, he had to find the opportunities and then he had to TAKE ACTION.
I’m sure a lot of people thought “I wish I was like Joseph” but they didn’t know what he had to do to get where he was. He could miss his purpose if he didn’t pay the price. You got a dream, you have to protect it. The way to make it true will come to you once you make the decision.

Noah got a very specific message. He had to build an ark. The funniest thing was that where he was it hadn’t rained for a long time. Can you imagine people around thinking: “that man is so freaking crazy!, Why is he doing that?” laughing and judging him… But Noah decided to do what he had to do. When he was finally done with his mission, everything was ready, the ark was closed the people were laughing…Then I can imagine when people got the first drop of rain.. UH OH… what the heck is this? Maybe Noah was right!.
If Noah didn’t believe he could do it, or if he’d decided his excuses were a big issue, all the history might change. Noah’s story would changed completely. He paid the price, he took action he lived his purpose.

I could write more stories from  the Bible: Elijah, Abraham, Esther, so many more, and of course Jesus.

I just want you to think about your purpose. What is that thing that burns inside of your heart and you wish you were doing right now.
If you love the mountains what are you doing in the city going to the same office everyday?
If the best thing you can do is  playing basketball and you love it, why are you a taxi driver? or a secretary? or whatever you are!.
Do you love to inspire people? do you love to protect women? Do you love to help others? what is that thing that you love to do?

What would you do if money wasn’t an issue?

Turn what you love into profit, maybe you have to start doing some things that make you feel uncomfortable at the beginning, but that they are gonna save you years of a boring life that you can’t even enjoy.

Leave your excuses aside and make it happen.

I joined to Empower Network because I had to take action. Yes, it’s a challenge sometimes but when you see free people living the life of their dreams, traveling the world, earning in one day more than what a lot of people make in one month you have to leave your excuses and do what they are telling you to do. Follow the formula, be consistent and succeed. What are you willing to pay for your freedom? What is keeping you from your purpose?

We can become slaves from work… maybe you want to retire after 30 years of service to finally have a life… until then have a life. And you don’t even know if  your company won’t need you anymore when you get almost there.

What is your purpose? What is that thing you want to do? Don’t stop dreaming. Don’t give up. Dream big.
