Getting Ready for Fiji

We have been backwards and forwards to Fiji so many times over 26 years, it seems like just an everyday thing to us.

But I’m getting a tingle of excitement this time as we’ll be catching up with some relatives we haven’t seen for years!

Most of them we keep in touch with on Facebook occasionally. But it’s different to being with them for a weekend.

Plus our eldest son (my step-son) is going back to Fiji after living in Australia for 16 years.

We tried twice to get a visa for his Mum to come and visit us here but got rejected both times. (Makes me angry every time I think of it!)

But that separation will soon be over – his Mum is so excited! As we are.

Our son’s wife has been to Fiji twice with the first 2 children, but he never got round to getting a new passport in time.

So now, they have 2 more children, that’s four altogether, and he is finally getting to go back to see all his Fijian family.

What a meeting that will be! I hope to get a record of it, either video or photos.

Here is a shot of the four grandkids I took just after we came back from Fiji last September.

The eldest boy Jared loves everything about Fiji so he is really excited. He went when he was 2 and 4 years old.

One of his favourite activities was riding in the local buses with no windows.

So when we were there over a year ago, I filmed one of our bus trips for him.

Funny, it’s one of the most watched of my videos on YouTube.

Well, gotta rush off now to pick up some clothes a friend has given us to take for our Fijian relatives.

All our family in Fiji are really struggling, even those with jobs.

It is truly a third world country as far as wages and government pensions are concerned.

And that is why I am so thankful for Empower Network.

I can see this as the best way to make enough money to help them all.
