Strength Training Workout

Make time this season for a strength training workout!

Everyone’s life is busy especially during this time of year and sometimes it seems like it is impossible to find the time to squeeze in a good strength training workout. There always seems to be something more important that you should be doing and so you put it off for another day. What most people don’t realize is that by choosing to make the time for a good workout, they will have increased energy, improved strength and more endurance. They will also improve their productivity and enhance their personal capabilities.

Now do you think a strength training workout is more worthy of your time?

Of course it is worth it and fortunately it doesn’t need absorb as much time as you may think. A good strength training workout can be done in only 20 to 30 minutes or even broken down into 10 minute mini workouts throughout the day. The important thing is to try to incorporate strength training into your daily life whenever possible. It can be as simple as maintaining perfect posture when you sit in a chair or something more impactful like a 20 minute session of high intensity interval training.

Every movement you make in life is a chance to build muscle strength. For example, try squatting while you empty the dishwasher. It is better posture to bend at your knees and the constant up and down motion will strengthen your thighs and buttocks while you get the dishes done. This same leg exercise can be done as part of a workout or even at a break during your favorite show. Try squatting while holding light, five to ten pound weights, lift arm and focus on your arm muscles on the way down and squeeze your butt on you way up.

Using a good pair of wrist or ankle weights is a simple way for you to add strength training into your regular routine. You can put them on when you vacuum, dust, or when you clean your windows. You can wear them on your ankles as you go up and down the stairs carrying baskets of laundry. You can even throw a weight inside the basket to make it more challenging. There is always a way to add strength training into your life by wearing these handy little weights.

Can you imagine how strong your arms would be if you wore wrist weights while painting an entire room?

It doesn’t matter how you add a strength training workout into your day, as long as you include them at least four to five days each week. Consistency is vital when you are working on building tight, toned muscles and your workouts will be more effective if you maintain the routine as a permanent part of your life. By finding fun and convenient ways to add strength training workouts into your life, you will want to do them and feel better about yourself as your muscles begin to tone up.

As you work toward having tight and toned muscles, you will need to mix up your routine to keep it challenging and interesting. Alternate between muscle groups and push yourself to work harder each time. Strength training workouts are meant to stimulate your muscles, so the more variety, the more beneficial it will be to your physique. Your health is vital in so many aspects of your life and it is important that you make it a priority.

By simply squeezing in an effective, strength training workout each week, you will improve your body, your confidence and your entire attitude towards life.

To your health,
