Hawaii Tsunami
I live on Oahu on the side of a mountain. I can see as I write the whole island flashing emergency vehicles lights trying to evacuate people from inundated zones to clear everyone from tsunami flood zones. The civil defense emergency sirens are blaring all over the island currently and people are jamming the freeways trying to get away from the coast.
Canada had a 7.7 earthquake, the strongest earthquake since 1740, causing a tsunami warning across the Pacific. Hawaii is in direct path of the tsunami. It s is being taken very seriously by officials.
Hawaii Tsunami Warnings Are Broadcasted every Month As Routine
Most Hawaiians don’t really freak out on the sirens and warnings since we have monthly testing of the sirens and emergency systems. As tsunami warnings get closer to the time of impact we all listen for updates to see if it is something we should take serious. Sounds weird and maybe dumb, but so many times we have had Hawaii tsunami warnings and nothing happens.
We are waiting to see what is next. Currently all people and police are being taken out of Waikiki and Honolulu. The surrounding islands are also on standby. Maui looks to be in the most direct path of the computer generated path of the destruction zone of the tsunami.
Five Minutes To Hawaii Tsunami “Impact”
So as I look out my window I can see all the light over the cities over the island. If the tsunami is bad I will be able to see all the lights go out and maybe bursts of sparks explode from power poles going out from debris hitting the poles. I hope it is all nothing and just a warning with no actual Hawaii tsunami.
Hawaii should get some tsunami waves from the 7.7 magnitude earthquake from Canada, but of course we all hope it is crying wolf again. The news is saying people are still backed up in traffic jams in lower land areas and it is only 10 minutes before it is to hit us.
Officials are saying the Hawaii tsunami waves are hitting the buoys in the pacific causing data to pour in to computers and the level has rose six feet. The tsunami waves are not going to be one large wave, but consecutive waves hitting one after the other and pushing farther inland. People are still on the piers out in Waikiki.
Why? Who knows, I think they do not believe it will happen. It is getting close. Only 8 minutes left before the impact hits Maui, and Oahu. Before I finish I am going to the window to see what it looks like to see if there is anything noticeable from my window up where we live. If the impact happens, I will get more writing to tell of the damage that occurred due to the Hawaii tsunami.
If nothing happens, than I will leave it as it is…. Another crying wolf. Counting down. Nothing so far. Give it another 7 minutes. People are still at the beach on the beach! What the hell? I am going to check back again on the news channel to see if I can get any more data. If nothing occurs, this is all I will write of the Tsunami in Hawaii from the 7.7 earthquake in Canada.
