Is Hyperinflation In Our Future?

Hyperinflation In Our Future?

Many of us have felt the pressure of inflation, as the price of gas, milk, bread and butter squeezes every last dollar out of our pocketbooks.  This state of hyperinflation can be directly correlated to the decision made in 1971 to move away from the gold standard and allow the dollar to become purely paper money, a fiat currency.  Fiat currencies in and of themselves are usually only good for 40-60 years until the reality that the currency is little more than paper backed by the Government gets out to the masses.  As soon as citizens start realizing that there is nothing of monetary value backing their currency, faith in the currency drastically falls, causing people to offload the paper money they are keeping. This directly results in the state of hyperinflation that we are beginning to see in America’s economy today.

Many countries have followed a similar pattern, take post soviet-union Russia for example, or Zimbabwe.  In Zimbabwe, their fiat money devalued to a trillionth of the former value.  What used to be 10 Zimbabwean dollars for a loaf of bread, became several wheelbarrows full of valueless paper money.  The inflation caused every person to want to quickly spend their paper money before it had time to be devalued even further.  Saving money was pointless; it would be less valuable sitting under the mattress than being used at the local vendor.

Following Hyperinflation

These countries will find a new source of currency that has a stronger value.  In Zimbabwe, they started trading using the Euro or the dollar.  The new currency had value, so everyone who had the resources invested in and held that currency.  People in both Russia and Zimbabwe had a strong faith in the new currency, and a lack of faith in their countries economy, which caused them to save and not spend.  Deflation resulted; a state in where the rich stayed rich, and the poor who have no way to invest in the new currency, became flat broke.

The United States is quickly falling into the pattern set by these troubled nations before it.  Citizens of the United States are destined to follow this country into the pit of financial inflation, and depression.  Unless….

…they discover the new currency and invest in it before their dollars have no value.  Pre 1971 every single dollar circulated in the US was backed by gold.  Gold and silver are commodities that have intrinsic value apart from paper money, and have been used as currency around the world for centuries.  By investing in gold and silver coins, before the dollar tanks you have the ability to protect yourselves and your families from the resulting breadlines and desperation that inflation and deflation cause.  Gold and silver, have always, and will always have value.  They back every strong currency that has ever existed.  I urge you to not be a sitting duck awaiting financial destruction.  Invest in the “new” currency, gold and silver, before the bankruptcy of our current fiat currency is fully exposed.
