Things people should consider

– If something bad* happens to you during your day if you then say to yourself something along the lines of “oh well that sets up my today! Today is doing to be awful! My day is ruined before it even began!” guess what? Your day is going to suck and only because you are making it that way.

I’m not saying people can’t have bad days because they can and that is perfectly human but if you tell yourself that your day is doomed for failure that is what is going to happen. It’s really one the the most pointless and counterproductive things you could ever do and it’s very easy to avoid SO WHY DO PEOPLE DO IT? Why make an effort to destroy your entire day? Why do something very negative that you don’t need to do? Why let little things like having a cold shower ruin a perfectly good day?

We constantly let little things get in the way of allowing ourselves success for that day/week/month/year. We need to stop!

*by bad I don’t mean personal tragedies. Some things need time to heal.

– The other thing is very specific. I see a lot of people I know gearing up to go to university. That was me this time last year and I was exactly like them, I was so excited and had such high expectations. If you’ve read my first post on here you will know that I dropped out and that it was not what I wanted it to be.

School tells you that University is the next step for the majority. However, it really is not the next step for everyone. Some people do flourish and have the time of their lives and it’s really great for them and a very positive thing. Some people just get by, they enjoy it, it’s okay and some of those people would leave if they felt like they could with no repercussions. Others hate it off the bat and it is really not for them. The majority of friends I know at university don’t love it. They think it’s “okay”.

Schools need to stop making University seem like the next stepping stone in life especially when getting into it can put us in extreme debt. I’m in debt and I didn’t even complete one single lousy term. I tried something I was told for years and years of my life would BE the next step in my life and now I’m in debt. How is that fair? It isn’t.

One thing I see a lot of future uni students say is “I can’t wait to get away from all these immature people and be around mature people who want to learn and be independent and grow up”. I was one of those people. I expected to go to university and have everyone be really mature but they’re not. All you have to do is attend the first freshers event to see that you are around exactly the same types of people who were around at school.

Anyway, not sure where I was going with this but there! Have my words and like them!

If you’re wondering why I’m writing this check this out and it will explain it all!
Have a wonderful day!
