Seacret Direct – Business And Compensation Plan Review From Someone That Didn’t Join

If you are looking for a review of Seacret Direct you have come to the right place!  About a year ago, I was involved in another network marketing company.  This company was sold and a number of its sales force leaders left for other companies.  One of the companies that many of the leaders left for is Seacret Direct.

Because of this, I knew it was only a matter of time before I would be approached about getting started in Seacret Direct.  Sure enough, a good friend of mine reaches out to me and asks me to take a look.

Now most of the time when people reach out to me to take a look at business opportunities, I respectfully decline.  Because I have a pretty decent following, I get approached about opportunities all of the time.

However, if a friend asks me to take a look or show some support, I am more than willing to do that.  So when my friend asked me to take a look, I made time to come out and take a look at what he had to offer.

Plus, I was very curious anyway since so many former leaders in my previous company were jumping to Seacret Direct, I wanted to see what the hype was all about and I wanted to see if it was a solid business opportunity.

What is the Business Opportunity Available With Seacret Direct and is it a viable one?

Seacret Direct is a relatively new player to the network marketing industry.  However, as a company they have been around since 2005.  The company markets a wide variety of skin care products.

They originally marketed these products through a retail channel, setting up kiosk locations in malls.  After being very successful with retail, the company decided to use the network marketing business model to distribute their products and services.

I was invited to a Seacret Spa Party by my friend.  His sponsor was in town and was someone who I was familiar with from my previous company.  My friend’s sponsor went through the presentation with me, explaining the company and letting me try out the products.

First off, I must say the products work!  I saw results right away when I applied them.  I recently did a review of one of Seacret’s competitors Nerium and wrote a blog post about the Nerium Compensation Plan.  With Nerium you are invited to try the product out for 5 days.  This product, you don’t need days to see results.  I saw results immediately and almost instantaneously

I also got a chance to check out the Seacret Direct compensation plan.  Like most product based companies, you can sell the products retail and earn the difference between the wholesale price and the retail price.

A lot of companies offer the “opportunity” to buy wholesale and sell at retail.  However, the reality is that the products are overpriced and you typically are only able to make those types of sales to people who are also interested in building the business.  However, because Seacret Direct started as a retail company, they have a different level of credibility when it comes to actually being able to sell their products at full retail.

In fact, when I was exposed to the opportunity, some of the distributors were testing a model where as a distributor you could work in a kiosk mall and sell the products retail just like the company did and keep the profit for yourself.  As a retail guy, I found that to be a very intriguing opportunity.

As far as team building, Seacret Direct uses a binary compensation plan.  With this plan you only build 2 legs and everybody that you sponsor goes into one of these two legs.  In Seacret Direct, you earn up to 15% commission of the total volume of the weaker leg.

A binary compensation plan is a very lucrative compensation plan for an experienced network marketing distributor who knows how to recruit and build teams.  If that distributor is able to bring over a team, even bigger.

After him and his wife moved over to Seacret Direct, their income jumped to over a million dollars a year! Plus, I’m pretty sure that their Seacret Direct team is a lot smaller than the team that they had in the previous company.

The reason why a big recruiter or someone who can bring over a team can make a lot of money is because of the two leg system.  If you got a team already, you can just balance out your leaders in the two legs and maximize the compensation plan pretty quickly.  If you are a strong recruiter, you can just recruit people into the weakest leg to keep it balanced.

The problem is most people who join are not big recruiters or distributors who can bring a team over.  For the average person, keeping both legs balanced can be a challenge.

You are going to be told about people being placed in your organization to help you build and this is true.  However, those people are only going to be placed in the recruiter’s weakest leg.  If you are a part of that weakest leg, that’s great for you.  However, if you are a part of the stronger leg, don’t count on getting too many people placed under you.

Is Seacret Direct A Solid Business Opportunity?

If you are a fan of skincare products, I think you can do well in Seacret Direct.  If you are a proven network marketing veteran that can recruit and especially if you have the ability to bring a team over.

I personally took a look at Seacret Direct and decided not to join.  Skin care is not something that I’m personally passionate about and it’s not something that I have any interest in marketing, even though it’s a huge industry.

If you are interested in Seacret Direct and you don’t have a sponsor, I recommend that you check out Jason Humble.  Jason is a personal friend of mine.  He knows how to recruit and he cares about his team and you will be in good hands with him.

However, if you already have a sponsor, be ethical and stick with your sponsor.  After all, what comes around goes around and if you engage in sponsor shopping games, you better believe your prospects will do the same.
