when I was in high school all of us kids were getting stirred up by new music

of the day. It was probably the same for you. In my case. the new music was

early Rock n’ Roll. Our music was a bad influence, yours too, right? Elvis’s

gyrating hips were considered obscene so the cameras showed him only

from the waist up. Parents were up in arms. Teenage dance party shows

came on T.V. with OUR music. American Bandstand. Chubby Checker and

Fabian doing their big hits after school and Soul Train on the weekends.
