Health is Wealth

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Health should never be taken for granted, instead it should be taken cared of and nourished. However, there are some people who would resort to unhealthy living. What do I mean by unhealthy living, these are negative ways such as smoking, heavy drinking, taking drugs, being too thin or too fat and engaging in some unsanitary acts or doings. If we take good care of our own health then we won’t experience any pains, diseases nor illnesses, we won’t also experience any difficulties when it comes to our body’s functions.
When you take care of your health, it also would show that you love your body. There is no need to really buy beautifying products or even go under the knife to make oneself beautiful and healthy. Taking care of one’s body should not go overboard, it does not mean that we all need to purchase all of the most expensive products or vitamins in the market.
One can take care of their health by purifying their bodies. You can check out this video on Ananda Yoga to purify your inner self and make sure that physically and spiritually inlcuding mentally you are healthy.Ananda Yoga
Health is wealth as an old adage says, that why when we are working we also need to make sure that we are not too stressed and overworked. WebMd said as of January 25, 2012 — Working 11-hour days may seem the norm in this economy, but regularly logging long hours can more than double a worker’s risk of depression.People who routinely put in more than 11-hour days more than double their chances of major depression, compared to employees who typically work about eight hours a day, a new study suggests.
Long workdays take a physical toll on the body, but there’s been mixed evidence of their effects on the brain. And little is known about the link between long work hours and depression. This research looked at more than 2,000 British civil servants who had no mental health problems when the study began in 1991, and whose average age was 47. About six years later, 66 cases of major depression were found in the workers after they received mental health screenings. Men and women who worked more than 11-hour days had a more than twofold increased risk of depression, compared to public employees who spent less than eight hours at the office.
So if health is really a wealth to you, take care of it. Do not overwork and over stress yourself with your jobs. We all know that we should earn money. However, we should also consider that health is also also important aside from all other worldly and material things. So if we would really love to take care of our health we need to balance our lifestyle. We all know that earning money is essential also but we should look for ways that would not let us risk or sacrifice.
