Make Money In A Recession?

Wha?… You’re kidding! – Afterall, if one just listens to main stream media news….’the wheels are coming off the vehicle on the road to nowhere’… And yet, so many folks are posting profits, and not just profits – Huge Profits! So what’s this all about? Surely you jest,….(….‘Don’t call me Shirley!’)…. No I’m not making this up and you don’t have to hear it from me, do some research and you’ll see for yourself…… ‘That’s all fine and dandy you say, but that’s alright for them, what’s that got to do with me?’, You ask. – ‘Everything!’, I say.
It’s all in how we see things…our view of the world influences the way we go about our ‘Business’. The folks and businesses I’m referring to generally are regular folks like you and me… ‘Yea right you say!’ – ‘Absolutely right!’, I say ….Oh, and Don’t just listen to the negative media messages…that’s a good place to start as well….seek out positive alternatives!!!
You see those folks refuse to participate in the recession, and then they went on and tweaked their models of the world of enterprise, some ever so slightly, got off the fence of idleness, committed to their own success(es), took on a few new bits of information, tools and extended their network filled with people ‘already doing it’,( ie; action-takers, not victims)… They got ‘Empowered!’… they shifted their mindsets, they broadened their view of ‘making money’, embraced new technologies and committed themselves to a life of success….. and went for it!
A great place to start is to cut oneself off of bad news media found on the tellie (ie; TV)…Sadly, bad news sells, and good news gets buried….unless one refuses to allow oneself to not be swept up in the misery and taken over by it.
This is not to say. ‘Ignore it! -Not at All! – Yes! Absolutely, pay attention, then do what works and not carry on doing the same ol’ thing that keeps failing….Get Smart! – Get Empowered! Easy to say, so what does that mean?: Well, First and foremost, don’t give up on yourself…you have what it takes to get through to a place that is good for you, we all do, look at us….afterall, how many thousands of years have ‘we’ people been doing ‘this’….whatever ‘this’ is….developing, evolving, progressing…of course, not without our challenges, which broadly we learn from….Hopefully! Afterall, people like Edison, Einstein, Columbus (he got lost a few times before being credited with discovering the new world, or was it Vespucci Amerigo, or the Nomads of Asia? – sorry couldn’t resist)
…Anyway….the point here is they didn’t give up when they got it wrong, they were committed to their task and forged on…and yes, with the support of others around them too…we do not have to go it Alone…In fact, most successful people will be the first to tell you that they didn’t and couldn’t have done it alone; (e.g., Carnegie, Buffett, Branson if wealth is the goal?, like the World Wars if Defeating Oppression is the Mission, and/or Freedom and Civil Liberation is the Cause as with Rosa Parks, MLK2 as well as Gandhi and the many other Freedom Fighters of the World throughout History)….
…And if we look at it for what it is was…the Motivation / Inspiration is the Pursuit of Freedom, Opportunity to Meet Our Potential, To Be The Best that we can be….be it having money to afford to learn new ways of doing things, expanding an enterprise and engaging others so that they too can meet theirs, or to meet basic human needs (i.e., clean water, food & good health, dry/warm shelter, clothing and basic education and opportunity) and the list goes on and on and on…it is extensive…. And/or provide for our family and friends build a legacy which empowers them, or affords us the time and energy and resources to just ‘be’ with them and not always so busy that lifetimes have passed us by with much interaction….including our own?…
A question comes to mind…are we going to give our ‘Power’ away and just follow those not invested and engaged so much in their brighter futures, for whatever reasons, Or will we ‘Go For It!’ and find a way through and share our successes with others, or at the very least show them how to get theirs as and when possible?
Change?! – As challenging as it may be, it is the one thing that is constant…so we need enable ourselves to realise our dreams, (whatever they are, and hopefully positive ) We, …You, Me, our nearest and dearest, friends, acquaintances… they needy and the strong…. Be Empowered! And then Take Action! Oh and, of course, Enjoy it!!! …. Me too!
