Read to learn

Read to learn not only expands the mind it adds value to one’s life!  When we are not learning new things, life becomes stagnant!  You become complacent and boring!  So reading is very important in our lives.

Reading is great for brain activity!  Want to reduce dementia and Alzheimer’s, read more!  Reading for enjoyment is also great.  Reading does something for me that nothing else does.  It takes me away from my world and problems, and let’s me absorb the new world that I am reading about.  I can learn about a new place, and I can see and feel as if I am actually there!

You can travel without paying all the money it takes to go to another place.  Reading helps put you in that other place.  Read for enjoyment is great, but read to learn is also important in our lives.  Have a question about something and want to know the answer?  Read a book, and answer your question.  Recently, I wanted to know more about the new healthcare reform, so I read a book about it.

Learn more about finances, other countries, how to cook, how to fix something!  What ever you want to learn about, you are adding value to your life!  Reading helps you become an interesting person; someone people like to have conversations with.  You are not that person who likes to gossip, rather you  are the person that talks about interesting concepts or ideas.  People find you informative and a positive person to be with.

You actually have something of value to share with others, so that makes you important.  Reading is an important activity in one’s life, and parents need to stress more reading in their children’s life rather than the television set!  Reading teaches your children a couple of things.  It teaches them to sit still and learn, and that is a skill that translates into the classroom.  Too many kids are squirley and cannot sit still to learn!  Reading teaches them about people, places, animals.  It increases their vocabulary and writing skills.

Reading for me is always a new learning experience.  So if you find that your life has become stagnant, read more!  Reading gives me ideas and helps with my creativity!  So read to learn and improve the value of your life!

IMPROVE THE VALUE OF YOUR LIFE!
