Long tailed keywords are more specific to the search and will benefit your business in the long one. If people, are interested in shoes, and type in shoes in the search bar, they are just at the beginning of their search. However, if they type in Jimmy Choo shoes, they are most likely ready to buy, because they know what product they want to purchase. So long tailed keywords will convert better. Seventy percent of the people searching, search with long tailed keywords. So using long tailed words is an effective keyword tool.
Once you have picked your keywords, then google adsense is used. Type in your keyword, and click on exact on the left. Make sure you click off broad. You are looking for low competition words with at least 1000 global monthly searches. So you want an exact word match, that is low in competition with 1000 or more global monthly searches, to make this keyword an effective device in driving traffic to your site.

Traffic Travis is a free site, that helps you determine if your keyword will be able to be ranked in google. Once you have signed up for Traffic Travis, type on SEO and then go to keyword and enter your keyword or keywords. You can enter up to five keywords on one search. Then click fetch, and wait for the information. You are waiting for Traffic Travis to rate your difficulty level of ranking your keywords on google. The goal is to have a keyword that is relatively easy, easy, or medium. Obviously, if you have a relatively easy keyword, go with that one. You can upgrade with Traffic Travis for a cost, and they will go in more detail of the services they provide for that cost.
