Through metanoeo we are being asked to change our way of thinking, to amend our attitude, and to change our direction so that rather than walking away from God, we walk to Him along the path He has provided. We are not being told to “repent,” or to change our behavior. Rabbis, priests and pastors are wrong when they focus their condemnations on behaviors they don’t like rather than assail thoughts and attitudes God doesn’t like.
