1: Do Active Prospecting More Than Passive.
Passive prospecting is making a blog post, video, article, social media status update or ad that you put out to get attention and hope someone comes across it and reacts ( in a good way). These are all fine and dandy and should be done daily but most of your time should be with active prospecting. When you are on the social media site don’t send out status requests to everyone. Instead target a few people and personally connect with them. put out standard cut and paste note in a personal message to qualified people and personalize the note with items you glean off their profile page. Do this for about 10 people then move on to the next activity of the day. Don’t spend tons of time with prospecting people who haven’t earned your time.
2: Qualifying Is More Important Than Presenting.
When doing your active prospecting those that answer the initial contact are more qualified than those that don’t. If you had to spend time with people prospecting, wouldn’t your rather spend it with people that seem interested in what you have to offer? Again the next step to qualifying is sending them a tool ( a video, PDF, training audio ) that will be useful to them in their current position. Tell them to get back in touch at a later date after they have viewed that info. If they are seriously interested then they will. In this way you are funneling them in closer to your opportunity. The farther down the funnel they are the more time you can spend with them.
3: Practice Until It Seems Natural.
Nobody is perfect at everything. Most are not a natural at anything but with practice one will be perceived as proficient. Teaching is the best way to learn something and if you have mastered a certain technique, teach it to someone. The more you practice at the teaching the easier it will become. It is all an exercise in point of view.
4: Stop Talking So Much.
Don’t get caught in giving a presentation to an unqualified prospect. Learn to send out a bait line and sluff it off by redirecting the conversation back to the prospect. Cause a break in the conversation giving them just enough info to follow up on like getting an email address or giving them a website url to go to, then break off the conversation. Your time is precious, again don’t spend time with unqualified prospects.
Remember people looking for opportunities to make money online basically are looking for ways to do as little as possible and still make big money. People are lazy by default. If you don’t believe or agree with me then you must be lying to yourself. We are online looking for ways to make money as fast as we can with as little effort as possible. It can be done. Look at all the top ranking people that claim it. They want you to believe in overnight successes. What they seldom tell you is the years of effort that preceded the overnight successes.
If you take these MLM prospecting and recruiting secrets I have laid out and practice them you’ll see the difference it makes in the amount of time it takes vs the number of recruits you get. Practice, practice, practice. Until it is second nature. Then things will start falling into place and you will start making the money easily because what you do to make it will no longer be difficult. Shift your perception.
