When you’re first getting started with building your business online, it’s very easy to assume that you can do 1 or 2 things starting out, and experience instant results in your business. After all, that’s what they promised you before you started right?
The truth is, as soon as you set foot into the world of internet marketing, and building a home based business, you get inundated with endless promotions, gurus telling you that their way is the only way to success, while every email and product offer in your inbox scares you with the “you must have this product” or else you’ll fail message.
Information overload has easily become a term associated with our industry, and very few people ever get past this phase to truly experience success. Most people end up getting stuck, and eventually, they die out with no desire to proceed forward, feeling as if “maybe this isn’t for me”.
What exactly is “information overload”?
Information overload is when the brain is exposed to more information than it can process at one time. Information overload is simply overstimulation of the brain, causing one to become indecisive or faced with analysis paralysis, due to being overwhelmed with far too many choices.
If you’ve hit that wall, and have begun doubting the potential for you growing a successful business online, I want to alter your thinking and your belief system today and let you know that you can successfully build a business online, you can overcome the overwhelm and you can create your success story in this industry.
Here are a few questions to ask yourself so that you can go from overwhelm to overcomer with your business
#1. Ask yourself, what is the one thing that you can do today that will get you closer to your goal, and closer to your profits?
The biggest challenge with technology, the internet, smart phones and the likes is the accessibility to more and more information.
We are simply over-stimulated by all the information surrounding us. From Facebook to Twitter, to YouTube… Pinternet, Instagram and so much more… our brain rarely gets a break. So you’ll have to give it one by retraining yourself to shut things off and focus (who am I to talk, lol)…
But seriously… when you have a project that needs to get done, turn the phone and internet off, and get to work. time yourself so you can have an alert time… and go for it!
The more you do this, even if it’s just for 1-2 hours per day, the more productive you will become.
#2. Unsubscribe: Is your inbox flooded with offers like mine is…?? Then make tools like unroll.me or mailstrom.co your best friends.
If you haven’t heard “inbox zero” is the new thing…. that’s simply, you’re a champ if you have an inbox with zero messages, lol.
Set aside time a few times per week to conquer this mountain, and you’ll feel refreshed when you zap away all the noise invasions in your life coming from your email inbox.
#3. Implement the L.I.S.T. Method….
I teach people how to implement the L.I.S.T. method in their lives where they simply apply what they learn immediately, and get into take action mode versus consuming information all the time.
If you want to learn more about how you can implement L.I.S.T. in your business to achieve greater results, then stay tuned for our upcoming free video series that will be released on Monday, October 6th, where I’ll share insight on how you can apply this in more detail!
