Communication skills examples-Business Related…

You want to read this blog post ONLY if you are having trouble with your communication skills and want to make them better to increase your business relationships and sales. This blog post has an insane amount of content, that I usually get paid thousands of dollars to teach in a seminar, and it’s now yours for Free. So take advantage of this, take notes, and start practicing the communication skills examples I outline in this post…

communication skills-Let me tell you a story of how powerful they can really be…

I was busy in my office doing the usual before working with clients, you know just rolling pieces of paper up and making three pointers from the back of the office into the small black waste paper basket by the door. As I was pretending to be Coby Bryant, and just as I was about to make the winning shot…

The phone starts ringing… RING… RING…

My eyes darted to the phone and I carefully started picking up the phone, and just as I was putting the phone to my ear, and I started saying “Amir Speaking,”a familiar voice sang through the phone with a “well, hello Amir how are you?”

Hmm couldn’t place my finger on it, and it definitely didn’t sound like my crazy ex-girlfriend. I asked who was speaking, and she said “you don’t remember me, It’s Liliana” in that same sweet voice from before. Then a light dawned over me, and I started remembering glimpses of our session together, and how awesome of a person she was…

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a rainy afternoon when I got a very similar call, that same voice rang in my ear, but it wasn’t as full of life. She explained to me some stuff that was going on with her, and that she said she found me on the internet and felt compelled to fly all the way from Spain just to come see me…

Wow!

This hypnosis session was magical, and she left with a sense that there was no weight on her shoulders, and with a huge smile on her face, as she walked out my office I knew she changed…

After zoning out for a bit, I heard Liliana say something I could hardly believe.

Something you would never dream of in a million years.

Who knew after making one decision a year ago I could do something THIS BIG with some simple communication skills. It was so freakin awesome that it actually started making me feel that all this was worth it. A tear softly rolled down my cheek as I listened ever so carefully…

It made me think back to what you’ve learned to get here…

So while you finish that last thought, I want you to then imagine achieving something beyond your wildest dreams. I want you to just pretend for a second, and picture yourself waking up in the morning, turning on your computer and going to your online banking account and see that money has magically appeared there overnight while you were sleeping. Well it might be a little hard to imagine, so why don’t you Click Here Now, put your email in the box, and watch this Free 30 Minute Video training that explains how and why it works.

The NLP Communication Model-The key to understanding communication on a whole NEW level…

Let me give you this example to understand the model before I dissect it, and make it more sensible.

Communication skills example 1:

Prospect’s Point of view: 1st person

I’m a prospect looking to buy a brand new car. I see a car in the lot that I absolutely love, and I believe that this car is going to be the absolute best thing for my family. I like it because it looks really sexy, it has great mileage, and it also has the best crash safety so I know my family will be safe when we drive it together. A smile comes across my face and I tell you really excitedly I want this car and no other car, my chest is stuck out proud, my eyes are sparkling, my pupils are dilated from excitement.

This follows the communication model:

  1. First, the person that I pretended was me saw the car.
  2. Then I started to share my beliefs and values with the salesman.
  3. After that I deleted every other car from my mind besides the one I saw and liked.
  4. Following that I started feeling good after I imagined being in that car with my family.
  5. Finally I was in a great state of mind because I was smiling and sticking my chest out, along with speaking very excitedly.
  6. The salesman could see If he was paying attention that I was ready to buy.

This story went step by step through the process that everyone goes through in any sale or creating any business relationship.

However…

It went downhill when the car salesman wasn’t paying attention to this…

Communication Skills example 2

Car salesman’s point of view: 3rd person

The car salesman looks at me, and is completely desperate for the sale. He starts imagining his boss’s voice saying he’s fired if he can’t sell a particular amount of cars by the end of the month, and then he starts to think about his family and starts to delete the fact that the customer is a customer, and starts attacking him with his voice tone.

“You don’t want this car there are still more better ones I didn’t show you yet.”

The car salesman starts to think about his family, and how he won’t be able to put food on the table for his family, and this alarms him and he starts pitching to me like crazy. When he feels the customer doesn’t understand him, he starts getting angrier because he views the customer as someone trying to destroy his life, not someone who just wants to buy a car. This shows in the salesman’s voice tone and body language because the customer immediately feels he is being attacked, and then refuses to buy any car. Then he leaves.

This again follows the communication model:

  1. The car sales man sees the customer, but really is desperate for the sale.
  2. The car salesman hears a voice in his head of his boss saying he’s fired unless he sold a particular model of car.
  3. He starts to distort the delete and distort the information he’s getting from the customer, and starts to think about more of his own needs.
  4. He’s afraid that without a job he won’t be able to feed his family, and that makes him desperate and to start “Pitching.”
  5. He starts to get stubborn and even angry that this person in front of him is going to keep him from feeding his family, so he starts talking over the customer
  6. This feeling starts to show in his voice tone, and in his body language that he is more attacking the customer instead of helping him.

The prospect’s reaction to the communication with the Salesman…

My face starts to crinkle and look confused, and then I tell him no thank you I want this one. The car salesman then starts to try to “pitch” the other cars to me but I don’t want another car I want the one I have my eye on. The salesman still pursues the idea that there are better cars, and I start to get angry, the tone of my voice becomes louder, and I start breathing heavier. This guy doesn’t care about what I want, he only actually cares about making money. I get fed up and leave without buying anything.

Two sides of the story, but now you see the true disconnect in communication skills.

Example: Communication Skills Aligned

When your communication skills are aligned, a great relationship forms and then the foundation of the sales process can begin. Basically it goes like this:

You will take in some kind of info from one of your five senses, and then it has to go through your filters which is your “map of the world,” and another way to explain that is it’s what you believe, what values you have, and stuff like that. After that you distort, delete, or generalize the info based on your life experiences and what’s important to you. At the same time this is all going on it influences the pictures you make up or imagine in your mind, and then you show what you are feeling on the inside by things like your body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice.

Now, if you can pay attention to one of the 7 steps mentioned than you will start to notice how a person is thinking and what things to say that will get them to buy, even if they seem to be impossible prospects to warm up. This is because you are not selling them, you are actually just aligning with what they want and then you are helping them get it. Think of being a good Samaritan, and helping an old lady across the road

So What’s the rest of the story…

I’ll tell you in part 2 where I show you how to use these communication skills example in this blog post and show you how to use what you’ve learned and apply it simply and effectively to any sale or business relationship!

I know it’s a cliff hanger but in the meantime you can check out now how my mentor’s communication has influenced hundreds of “ordinary” people with 9-5 jobs to earn 6 figures monthly in just a few short months.
