How You Can Sell and Attract New Customers

This is what we all want to know how to do, right – Attract More Customers through our online sales.  And you’re probably saying “If it was only that easy!”

Well, I’ll be honest, it does take some work, but it is possible if you are taking some proven methods to help attract customers. So, let’s look at some methods that I have used to help build an impressive online presence.

Your Online Sales Can Attract More Customers

Remember that your potential customers need to trust you first. If this is the first time they are hearing from you, you need to earn their trust. What do I mean by that?

Well, there are tons of people who are selling information and products out there. And although you believe your product is the best, and it very well may be, your new customers don’t know that.

So, the first thing you need to do is to provide them with value.

Typically, this will come in the form of information or some bit of content that they can use WITHOUT you charging them for it. Yes, create online sales by “selling” them something free.

So what are some things you can do to increase your online sales?

– A blog, webinar or Hangout where you describe what you do and some great tips that can of help to them immediately. Then, at the end of the webinar, you may want to consider upselling to another product. Or, you can schedule another one and then talk about it.

– Send out Emails. If you have a list, you can send them an email (weekly, monthly, etc.) giving them some information they can use while also mentioning your product(s). If you don’t have a list, see my article on “Do You Have The Most Effective Marketing Funnel?“, which shows how you generate a bigger list.

– Voice Broadcasting. Now this may not be as familiar as some other methods, but it can be very effective. This is basically a free service, an example being www.simplevoicecenter.com. It is basically an 800# that can be setup to broadcast a pre-recorded message that goes out to your customers.

If they answer, it will provide them with a short message explaining where to call into in order to find out more information.  This is great for promoting your affiliates and products while increasing your online sales.

– Send out Sales Letter or Direct Mail. Now, this may not be possible at first, as it can be costly. But, think about it, how many direct mail pieces do you receive from ONLINE companies? Not many, so this is something that will spark interest and entice people to log in and see what it’s all about.

As a final note, when it comes to sparking interest, make sure that you keep this in mind. You want to make sure you are selling something specific so they know what they are buying, especially in the beginning.

But be sure not to be too specific going forward when trying to sell bigger ticket items. You want to keep a little mystery around it so that they will want to learn more and ultimately buy more.
