Social Media Marketing Campaign Ideas To Improve Your Strategry

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Many of your customers or potential customers are likely on some social network site. Because of this, you should establish a social media presence and take your business to them. Do a little poll within your existing customer base, and see which social networking sites they are part of.

Make your company’s blog posts visually pleasing. People do not enjoy reading lots of text unless there is something to break it up. People also appreciate graphics and music on sites. But stay away from including too many visual items, because you still want to be able to get your point across through your text.

Social media can help you create user-friendly storefronts. Setting up a storefront on Facebook, that can be easily accessed through your postings on your site, is a great idea. Some people who spend a lot of time on Facebook could end up milling around your products for a bit and buying something without every having to leave the Facebook site. With a Facebook-oriented storefront, you do not have to worry about pulling users to your primary site, and they can stay where they are most comfortable.

Structure your articles into lists to encourage people to read through. This allows you to work with a more manageable and effective approach; lists make it easier to prioritize and quantify content. Since users of social media tend to be young and accustomed to text that gets right to the point, your efforts to provide abbreviated, yet relevant, information will not go unappreciated.

Your Twitter name should be easy to remember and relevant to your business. Don’t put a lot of numbers at the end of your name like some users do, as many people will be unable to remember the numbers and follow someone with a friendlier username.

Find other blogs of interest and post comments whenever possible. You will grow your online reputation as an expert. It is important, however, that your posts are meaningful and not just filled with empty words. Try to offer helpful information while remaining friendly and approachable.

Use a like box for Facebook on the upper right hand corner of your blog page. When they click on the box, they will be “liking” you on Facebook. They don’t even have to leave your blog to do it. Your “like” votes will add up more quickly if you make it simple for blog visitors do it with a convenient click.

Before getting involved in social media, make a plan. Make sure you plan out who is going to manage your pages, what specific layout you desire, and how much of your time you’re willing to invest. Like with any promotional campaign, it is best to set up a timeline to achieve your marketing goals. If you adhere as closely as possible to your plan, your social media marketing efforts will be successful.

As you can see, social media websites are a great way to market your business. Social media sites offer you the opportunity to shine a light into the inner workings and fundamental principles of your company as well as to connect with existing customers and cultivate new ones. If you try out this form of marketing, you will be amazed at the results.
