There is a hybrid of affiliate marketing that has a compensation plan that does allow pass up sales. The advantage of this is when you have a growing team, you will start getting commissions from pass up sales from the team you have built.

You decide what product you want to market. You want choose a good product, but also one that gives you a high commission. If the commission is low, it is going to be very difficult to invest in paid marketing and break even. So you are left really with a blog. This can work, but it will take work to build up the blog.

With the commissions being 100% you can easily invest a small amount of money in paid marketing and maybe double or triple the amount you have paid for the marketing.
Once you have your product you will then need to decide how are you going to market that product. There are thousands of ways to market something online. This could and will most likely require you to spend some money and invest in yourself to get the training needed.
If you want to be a doctor you have to go to a medical school to learn first. Similar here if you want to start internet marketing home based business, you will have to learn the skills that is required.
