Facebook Slaps Empower Network

Earlier today, I received a message from Dave Wood of Empower Network:
Hi LuSundra,
I woke up this morning, and Facebook was blocking our links. Occassionally, something like this happens because we’re growing so fast, and have so many people moving and doing things at once – that something breaks temporarily.
“Move fast, and break things” has ALWAYS been our motto.
*****************************
He went on to say more, but the nuts and bolts is:
Facebook is blocking all Empower Network links and even shut down the Facebook group!
Bummer!
The thing is – if you’re going to be an effective marketer, you need to be able to generate leads from multiple sources.
Things like this happen…
First it was Google PPC. Google put the smack down on home-based businesses…
There are people whose businesses went up in smoke when that happened.
Then there was Facebook PPC… Well… there are lots of things that won’t get through there.
And now… Facebook has shut down links to Empower Network.
I say, ‘So what!’
Now, if you were really heavily relying on one source to generate your leads, such as Facebook, things like this will rattle your business. Use this challenge as an opportunity to generate leads in another way. It will only strengthen your marketing abilities.
Position yourself so that in the future, you don’t have to worry when things like this happen.
Learn how to generate leads from articles, or videos.
Learn how to talk to people – in person or online. Build those relationships!
Learn how to use other paid advertising sources such as banner ads or solo ads.
These are things that never get old and they work!
It is important as an internet marketer to keep your marketing skills SHARP and intact. Learn how to market on more than one platform. Employ no more than 2 lead generation strategies until you MASTER the skills necessary to generate leads on a consistent basis.
As far as Empower Network is concerned, the signups are coming from talking to people and email marketing.
So…
Is the Facebook slap kind of a bummer? Yeah…
But is it going to STOP anything?
Absolutely not!
Keep marching forward,
