Let’s talk about the speakers on this unit for just a second. They’re not great. As a matter of fact, they’re pretty bad. But, that’s pretty common for HDTVs at this price point. As I said earlier, you give up some things to get a good screen at a great price. Speakers is one of them. The good news is that there are plenty of outputs, including digital audio, that will give you other options for your listening pleasure.
Let’s make mention also that this is NOT a smart TV, so you’re not going to get access to Netflix, Pandora, or anything else without another device. Not a big deal, but I know that some of you are looking to get a TV with a ton of options. If not, you can always use your Wii or a Roku box to access tons of great online content.

What’s great about this HDTV? Well, let’s just be honest. It’s the price. I wish that I could go on and on about a lot of other things, but I’m not going to waste your time. I know you want to buy this thing now so you’ll have it in your living room in time for the big game.
If there’s one thing you can come away from after reading this short LG 42LV4400 review it’s that if you buy one of these sets, you’re getting an incredible value for a 42″ HDTV. I know that you can find other sets that offer more features, but you’re going to have to spend a lot more money.
